We were warned in advance of renovation work being done to the hotel which was very honest of them, but we still decided to stay and were not disturbed by it. The rooms were very nice and calm in decoration. The beds were comfortable. The location is good, about ten mins walk from the Old Town, downhill. We got a taxi back but the hill is actually quite gentle. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff were very nice and very helpful. The room was extremely clean and was just renovated. Everything was both new, and well designed and thought out. We slept very well at night as the room was isolated well from outside or inside noise. The AC was very good.
The hotel is located in a good area, relatively close to the city center. It is a 10 - 20 minutes of a walk downhill there, and a slightly harder walk back because it is a walk uphill. There is a bus station located 1-2 minutes away from the hotel.
All in all, we had an amazing stay.

Our room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The hotel staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great, it had many different options. The food in the restaurant was delicious!
The few “negatives” are: the hotel is next to a very busy road (noise); there is only one small elevator in the hotel and no luggage carts. The third floor is being renovated and there were some safety issues such as the stairs were blocked so in case of fire how do you get down from the 4th floor???; limited parking.

The hotel is located very central within Cluj. However it's located at a very noisy street from 6 AM until 12 PM. The windows help just partially with the loud traffic noises in the morning and during nights.
The welcome at the front desk was okay. The service overall was good but not outstanding.
The room was tidy but not clean - carpet was dirty, bathroom had a bad smell, shower was not clean. The air condition was not working. The AC was in a closed box standing on the balcony. So the room was very warm.
The breakfast is limited to just a few items. For the extra expense for the breakfast I expected more variety.

Such an excellent location and beautiful hotel. The restaurant is amazing, and the staff was incredible. I will most definitely be going back there in the summer.

Stayed at the Meridian for three nights with my wife and child. The room was clean and warm. The personnel was polite. The breakfast was ok. The hotel is quite close to the city centre. The street traffic was not disturbing. Parked the car at the hotel. The Wi-Fi is good. I have easily worked from my room for two days.
