Royal Inn

This is the first hotel review I’ve ever had to do. My husband, best friend and I traveled here for a funeral over the weekend. When we first got here, we sat most of our stuff down when we realized there were roaches. One of those got into the pizza we had just bought to eat when we got there, so it had to get thrown away and money wasted. Then we got transferred to the room literally next door. The comforters had burn holes in them even though we were in a nonsmoking room. They said they were getting new ones next week and they “couldn’t switch them because this is a pet friendly room and we don’t have anymore” We found 2 roaches while we were in that room, the day before our checkout date. We had our cat, so we paid a $100 security deposit. He told us when we asked about the burn holes all over both comforters, that the PET deposit was in case their fur clogs the air filter, they use the bathroom on the floor/furniture, and if they destroy anything. We made sure to clean up after our cat every day we were there, and our cat is VERY well behaved, so we didn’t have any issues with that. My issue is that we only got $85 of our (again, PET) deposit back, because he said one single washcloth had some blue hair dye on it. Keep in mind, I brought my own towel to sleep on so I didn’t stain the pillow cases, and another towel to use while I showered so I didn’t actually have to have my hair come into contact with their towels. The washcloth was used to wipe the back of my neck and my forehead where the semi permanent dye was bleeding after my shower. It can very much so be washed off, but the hotel manager said “it can’t be washed out”. I didn’t realize that one single cheap white washcloth would cost them $15 but that’s sad. $15 isn’t that big of a deal, I won’t lose sleep over this, but keep in mind if they ask you to pay a security deposit for your pets here, they’re most likely going to do a full sweep to find absolutely anything to complain about so they can take some of that money for themselves. I think it’s bs and these guys don’t deserve the service they get. I read the other review about the roaches and bedbugs and think it’s funny that you tried to say “it’s not nice to lie” and yet I stay for 4 days and those reviews hold to be true. Stop scamming people and HIRE A EXTERMINATOR!!!

I was here 4 hours to catch some sleep on a hunting trip. It was fine for what I needed it for.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a very basic motel - but very clean with a comfortable bed and NO BUGS!! The shampoo/soap etc is given in small packs but it's sufficient. Only complaint is the noise - all night - but I'm not sure it's the motel's fault.

The room was very clean. The owners were friendly and I got my cash deposit back with no problems. It would be nice to have a hair dryer in the room and bigger pillows. Overall, the room was a good value--especially compared to the cost of lodging near the Chattanooga area. The motel is also conveniently located close to several restaurants.

The room was very nice and clean. The bed was quite comfortable. The bathroom was clean and in good condition. Parking is safe and just outside of the door to the room. The people working were very nice.

Great location, right off I-75. I appreciated the clean room, well-lit parking lot, no funky smells, and great water pressure. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly. I will stay here again, when I get down that way again.

It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for my needs and felt safe. No real lobby but didn't need anything. Would like bigger towels or more than 2 if it only covers my head!!

Hotel was nice, fresh and clean. Great value for the night.

Staff was awesome. Room was clean, quiet and exactly what we were looking for. Price was fair and our little dog was welcomed. Thanks again!
