What a stunning property !! It’s a hidden gem in Knysna. The location is great and the views from the property are superb !! The rooms are big and spacious and the rooms with the terrace are stunning. We had a lovely stay chez Pierre. Pierre is very welcoming, the room and service were excellent and the property is on a small island in the Knysna lagoon that is a little gem. If we come back we’ll go there again for sure.

Although we changed three room types within 24 hours, in the end, the hotel manager promised to give us a room type that we would definitely be satisfied with. So, we stayed in a single-family vacation room. It has a kitchen, living room and dining room on the first floor, and a kitchen on the second floor. There are two suites. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room open onto the green turf. It is very pleasant to take a walk outdoors at sunset. In the evening, I fried steak and paired it with red wine and turned on the TV to watch the Olympics. It was a perfect day.

The hotel breakfast was very good. The view was awe inspiring. The room had great coffee available. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Brown eyed manager was really patient with my grandmother and really professional. Loadshedding was a bit of a problem because in the middle of the night the generator switched of and Gran couldn't make it to the bathroom in the dark. The bathroom ventilation was a bit of a problem and the room air conditioner didn't work. For the price I would say it was reasonable but improvements can be made in terms of small helper lights on the stairs. The swimming pool is heated and looks out onto the stars which was awe inspiring to see. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.

From the booking which we had to change but it was an effortless exercise, they could not have been more helpful to the warmest welcome in arrival. We had the most beautiful room with the best view in the world. They could not have been more welcoming. It's probably our top destination. We were made to feel at home in the bar and had drinks enjoying the best view. Our dinner reservations were made by Francois. Breakfast the following morning was a feast. This is a highly recommended heavenly stop. Thank you to all.

We celebrated my 50’th birthday at the Butterfly Blu and Brenton Haven recently. And what a celebration it was! The venue was spectacular, and the catering was out of this world. From day one, Johlanda and her team was extremely organized, and the pre-event arrangements was timeous and from an excellent quality and standard. Johlanda (and my wife) arranged everything in detail, quite a task if an event is held in Brenton and you are resident in Polokwane. On the day of the event, everything went smoothly, with no hitches whatsoever. The venue and catering were 100% spot-on. The bar staff, kitchen staff and waiters (Teenage and his team) were friendly, fast, and efficient. It takes quite a lot for any venue to deliver 50+ perfectly prepared steaks all at one time. Not one of our guests complained in any way or manner about any food, drinks, or service. Our guests were catered for in detail, from persons with allergies to persons with other food preferences (vegetarians and vegans). As most of our guests were from other provinces, most guests also made use of the Brenton Haven hotel, and once again not a single guest was disappointed in any of the hotel or facilities. The group discount offered for event guests, also made the accommodation very reasonably priced and our guests were indeed impressed by both the Butterfly Blu restaurant and the Brenton Haven hotel. It was an absolute pleasure to host my celebration at the Butterfly Blu and I will recommend the use of the Butterfly Blu and Brenton Haven for any occasion or event. If I had to score my whole experience, I will score it 10 out of 10. I wish to heartfully thank the whole of the Butterfly Blu and Brenton Haven team, with what can only be described as a once in a lifetime, extremely successful birthday celebration. Eugene le Roux

GGuest UserOn our recent road trip we were blessed to came across this gem of a place. The most friendliness staff, beautiful setting, very neat and clean accommodation. Definitely recommend the breakfast,absolutely mouthwatering. Will for sure visit again, as the peace and calmness of the place is something to look forward to.

GGuest Userwe stayed for 10 days over Christmas and new Year taking all 4 Chalets. the staff were wonderful and the accommodation fantastic. the chalets and braais were cleaned daily, and dishes washed daily. I would recommend the accommodation.
