Great place close to the airport but in a quiet neighborhood. The employees were so nice, friendly, and let us stow our bags while we were on a tour! The room easily accommodated our family of four. Breakfast was wonderful and very inexpensive . Would stay there again!

I am a youth leader taking a group to Port Elizabeth. Because of the way our flights worked out we had to spend the night in Johannesburg. I emailed 4 different hotels and Premiere Hotel was the only one to get back to me in a timely fashion. They were extremely helpful and responsive. Mercy was great to work with. They also arraigned transportation for all 34 of us from the airport to the hotel and once at the hotel we all ate in their restaurant and the food was wonderful. Pete, the restaurant manager, was extremely helpful. Overall Premiere hotel took what was the most stressful part of our trip and executed it wonderfully. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The overall amenities of the hotel were absolutely wonderful. The management of this hotel should be proud. 10/10 I cannot recommend them enough.

I recently stayed at this hotel which left me disappointed due to their shuttle service limitations. While the overall experience was average, the lack of a 24-hour shuttle service proved to be a significant inconvenience, particularly for early morning flights.
One of the key reasons I chose this hotel was because of its location and a shuttle service to the airport. However, upon checking in, I was informed that the shuttle operated only from 7 am onwards. This was highly inconvenient as my flight departure time was earlier. I approached the receptionist to inquire about alternative options, hoping for some flexibility or assistance, but was met with an unhelpful suggestion to order an Uber instead.
Having previously stayed at other hotels near airports, I had come to expect a 24-hour shuttle service as the norm. It was disappointing to find that this particular hotel did not offer the same level of convenience. Given the additional cost associated with using ride-hailing services like Uber, this unforeseen expense was an unwelcome surprise.
In conclusion, if you have early morning flights or rely on a reliable 24-hour shuttle service, I would caution against choosing this particular hotel. I would recommend exploring other nearby options that prioritize customer convenience and provide a more accommodating shuttle service.

Used as an over night stop before flight back to London. First suite stank of sewerage, badly scrapped walls, blocked drains and the TV didn't work so i requested to be moved. Apparently upgraded to diplomatic suite but then I did not have a balcony? Huge room suitable for meetings etc but the air con was absolutely terrible and we were boiling hot all night, there was also a tear in the sheets... Guests at 8am the next morning outside were unbelievably noisy and woke us up. Food outside on terrace was excellent served by Lindo who was outstanding but the whole area is REALLY grubby, Cushioned seats need a good scrub and the the marked tables need replacing. It was evident that either friends of employees or employees themselves monopolized the pool whilst playing loud music therefore no space for actual guests. Evening meal was ok but breakfast was excellent, good choice and fresh ingredients. Executive lounge was very well stocked but the people on the door were on their phones on loudspeaker chatting to their friends and just going about their business, so unprofessional!! Spa was fabulous and I have given 1 star for the spa and the food but that's it! I think if someone from head management ever visited this hotel they would be rather shocked!!!

The staff at Airport Game Lodge were amazing, from Judy, the friendly receptionist that moved my room due to electrical issues in the area (as well as gave me risks and put the heater on in my room beforehand to keep it toasty), to Anele who picked me up from and dropped me off at the airport so reliably, to Monica who made a scrumptious breakfast in her Garden restaurant, highly recommended!

The first stay was ok, but it was a family house renovation, cockroaches because I booked it close to me. The room was on the second floor pushing open the door to the balcony, where there were tables and chairs but thick dust. The second stay was very angry 😡, because there was something wrong on the first day of two days, the next day they found that they sold the good room I ordered at a higher price to later people without my consent. I could go to the room where I was almost in, and the hot water in the room was put for 20 minutes before it came out. Will not stay at the inn again. Thanks to Trip.com customer service for its excellent service!

GGuest UserI am a youth leader taking a group to Port Elizabeth. Because of the way our flights worked out we had to spend the night in Johannesburg. I emailed 4 different hotels and Premiere Hotel was the only one to get back to me in a timely fashion. They were extremely helpful and responsive. Mercy was great to work with. They also arraigned transportation for all 34 of us from the airport to the hotel and once at the hotel we all ate in their restaurant and the food was wonderful. Pete, the restaurant manager, was extremely helpful. Overall Premiere hotel took what was the most stressful part of our trip and executed it wonderfully. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The overall amenities of the hotel were absolutely wonderful. The management of this hotel should be proud. 10/10 I cannot recommend them enough.

GGuest UserExcellent location – literally minutes away from the OR Tambo airport. There is a shuttle but it is difficult to locate it. Maybe some signage would help? Once we located it we were however in the hotel in about 5 minutes. The shuttle is quite efficient. The rooms are good sized but the bathrooms are small in comparison. The room was cleaned regularly. The coffee / tea amenities were good. The room I stayed in was however dated, needs updating of the rooms. The heater in my room did not work. I just hope it works during winter. On meals, Breakfast had a good spread on the buffet, very nice. It is the best meal of the day. Lunch and Dinner was also quite good though not as good in variety unless you use the ala carte menu. I did not use the restaurants much outside the meal times or the bar so I am not able to rate these for now. The 3 stars are largely due to the staff. Staff are generally slow, have a poor attitude and look like they have been forced to work. This was especially at the reception and in the dining. You really need friendlier staff at the reception! A good number of times staff paid more attention to speaking with their colleagues than serving guests. I would be in the middle of something with a staff member but another staff member comes to them speaking in their language and you have to wait. It happened to me too often for comfort. Never seen this anywhere else I’ve travelled. A few times they were also speaking across the room. We however met some lovely staff – a gentleman called Trust and a mature lady who was doing our eggs at breakfast, I forgot her name. Do not expect too much but it is an excellent location if having an early flight.

GGuest UserThe host was patronizing and sarcastic toward me and was trying too hard to appear to be a nice person. She also hurried me to fill up the check-in form and pressured me to indicate right there in the form if I would need meals as they are pre-ordered. I needed time to think about this well without being rushed. She was suddenly super nice when other guests arrived, even the next day when taking us to the airport where she rushed me to leave at 7:00 am since these important guests were in a hurry to catch an international flight, and yet we had agreed to leave at 7:30am. Surprisingly I had also told her that I am going to Maseru (Lesotho) the previous day, and I reminded her in the car that I am also taking an international flight to Maseru. She looked at me annoyingly and said ”but it's not the same, they are going to Madagascar”. I tried reasoning that yes, we will be using the same terminal and I am taking an international flight too, and these other guests actually joined me in agreement. I felt small, and disrespected, as well as my country. and lukewarm toward me with an obvious bias, and yet she treated other guests super warmly.

GGuest UserOK, so let's start with the 'not-so-nice stuff'. Look, it is what it is. It's a 3-star (at best), hotel that was converted from apartments into a 'suite' experience hotel. It's cheap as chips, so with that in mind you're obviously not going to expect anything flash. The towels, while clean, could certainly do with being replaced. Overall, a fresh coat of paint would not hurt and the kettle was abysmal - we actually ordered our own kettle from 60/60 - the one in the room had not been descaled in...well, ever. It's very basic accommodation, the telephone in the room didn't work and the extractor above the stove was diabolical. Now, for the good stuff. The staff are AMAZING. So friendly and super helpful, check-in was breezy and even though we arrived a full 2 hours early, we hardly had to wait for our room to be ready. Aside from what I already mentioned, the room itself was SPOTLESS and that made up for the 'niggly' bits. The location is great, just a few minutes from the airport and close to the areas we had business in. Honestly, for what one pays for this place, there are no complaints. You can order from 60/60/ Uber Eats/Mr Delivery and there is a restaurant on site - although we didn't order from them, we left early and came back fairly late so it was just simpler to order in - and they delivered to the room. So all in, if you're not in Jozi for a holiday, then this place is kind of ideal. Internet was fast enough and complimentary and as we literally only used it as a base for our dealings in the big city, it was more than adequate.

TThe ExcursionistI recently stayed at this hotel which left me disappointed due to their shuttle service limitations. While the overall experience was average, the lack of a 24-hour shuttle service proved to be a significant inconvenience, particularly for early morning flights.
One of the key reasons I chose this hotel was because of its location and a shuttle service to the airport. However, upon checking in, I was informed that the shuttle operated only from 7 am onwards. This was highly inconvenient as my flight departure time was earlier. I approached the receptionist to inquire about alternative options, hoping for some flexibility or assistance, but was met with an unhelpful suggestion to order an Uber instead.
Having previously stayed at other hotels near airports, I had come to expect a 24-hour shuttle service as the norm. It was disappointing to find that this particular hotel did not offer the same level of convenience. Given the additional cost associated with using ride-hailing services like Uber, this unforeseen expense was an unwelcome surprise.

GGuest UserFANTASTIC experience right from the moment I checked in. The hosts are super friendly and helpful, and even drove me to a shop nearby when I needed a SIM card.
The property itself is PERFECT if you need a few days to relax and unwind after a stressful series of flights! The garden is lovingly manicured and even has a pool, which was a nice surprise.
They also have a FREE shuttle service from and to the airport as long as you let them know when you need it. The hotel is only 5 minutes drive from O.R. Tambo airport too, so don't get scammed (like I did) by the airport taxis (they charged me 250 rand for a 5 minute drive!).
The hotel has its own kitchen and menu and will deliver meals to your door, and they also have a small shop with toiletries, etc. which came in handy. WiFi is good too, even for video (definitely better than the airport's!😅).
So, next time you're heading to Johannesburg, definitely book Emerald Hotel. Now I just wish I had booked 5 days instead of one! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

GGuest UserThe hotel is great for a one night stopover on arrival in JNB or departing from JNB. Free shuttlebus to the hotel / airport every 30 minutes. 10 minute journey. We arrived early and room wasn’t ready. So, having checked in, staff looked after the luggage and we went for a drink and sat in the garden for 45 minutes. Staff came to tell us room was ready and took us and the luggage to the room. Standard room is not huge but adequate for a one night stop. Room has the usual expected facilities; tea / coffee and tv. Not a lot of storage space but ok for a short stay. Window opens if you want fresh air instead of aircon. Décor around the hotel is very interesting, unusual and a little quirky. Definitely worth having a look around! Restaurant is open all day with a good choice on the menu at very reasonable prices. Meal in the evening was very good. Two fantastic guys work on the bar, Irvin and Oscar, are very friendly and helpful and regularly check that everything is ok and if you need more drinks. No need to walk from the garden to the bar. There is an outdoor pool and a gym in the basement. Good range of food for the buffet breakfast. Check out was quick and efficient but as a Marriott Bonvoy member, it was express service for me. Would certainly use this property again if I needed an airport stopover. NOTE! Do not confuse this hotel with the Protea Transit Hotel which is in the airport complex.

SSean_lmBreakfast is OK, dinner is also buffet, very close to the train station; Pick-up and drop-off service, don't care too much when picking up the plane, half an hour and more than half a class can't wait, the delivery machine can catch up; WiFi is a real pit, I don't know where to get a public WiFi network. After 350M, I have to pay for it myself. I don't adapt to the Internet.

GGuest UserWe found Aero Guest Lodge as we were looking for somewhere to stay nearby to go off on our safari early the next morning. As soon as you get within the gates of the property the hotel felt so calm and the staff were really friendly. They provide a free shuttle service which is fantastic when you have an early morning. The room was spacious and the bathroom was lovely. Of course as the airport is nearby you do hear the planes but for our stay it ticked all the boxes.
