Adequate for the price but the place reeked of cigarette smoke. The hallway was awful and of course the cigarette smell was in the rooms as well, but not as bad. Some of the TV's didn't work well (or at all), and the internet was out most of the time. The beds were ok and everything was clean. Breakfast was minimal - just a waffle machine, breads, packs of oatmeal, and cereal. The staff worked hard to keep it stocked. We were only there a couple of nights while visiting the D-Day Memorial and Bedford Boys Tribute Center. The Visitors Center is nearby and it was convenient for visiting all the area sites.

The accommodations were a little less than expected but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Ashley was especially an attentive associate. Any questions I had she was able to answer immediately and if she didn’t know she investigated and called me back. We stayed for three days and the onsite staff were very nice.

The front desk staff was professional and particularly welcoming. All interactions with them went seamlessly, including check in, check out, and any other things. We did get an upgraded room, which was spacious. We did not try the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. However, despite the hotel not being new, it is a good place to stay. I am one of the few people who really likes it when they have wired internet in addition to wireless, and they did have wired available in my room. The hotel is also really well located. Thanks for the hospitality.

I arrived much later than I would have liked, but was greeted warmly upon my entrance to the spacious lobby. I happened to meet the assistant manager, David Dudley, who was a consummate professional and he along with his staff made me feel not only welcome, but elevated my mood immensely through our conversation. But onto the rooms: impeccably clean, the first thing I noticed upon entering my room is that there was no lingering housekeeping smell you often find in other hotels. No, the room had a neutral yet clean and familiar smell, with Decor being comfortable and the room itself quite spacious. The mattress was nothing short of amazing for somebody with a bad back, and the bathrooms were so clean you could eat off of the counter if so inclined. Sound insulation was impressive, and the rewards program was.. well, rewarding. Being quite the hot spot, lodging in Lynchburg can be very expensive, or it can be very cheap. But you very much do get what you pay for— but in the case of the Comfort Inn, you get what you pay for and then some. I arrived beleagued, fatigued and annoyed. I left well rested, satisfied and confident as to where I would stay the next time I passed through town.
