Breakfast was great! Lots of options. Staff are very professional, friendly, and hospitable. They go the extra mile. The pool guy has a very tedious job cleaning up the pool tiles. And I can't imagine serving so many people breakfast each day as the cooks do. Somehow they keep the food trays full. I do wish there was a Belgian waffle maker rather than a pancake maker. And in my opinion the hotel could use some updates such as carpet and a new paint job. Also the pool looks a little rough as there are many areas where the bottom is peeling up and it wasn't available for swimming the first few days, but they were quick to repair it. In conclusion, staff are great, service is great, food is delicious, but building could use some updates.

Room smelled bad like mildew, door was stuck very hard to open, parking lot under construction had to park @ another hotel parking lot, outside of building needed painting, very dreary, A/C was noisy and barely working properly, no Continental breakfast just coffee available, lots of rooms vacant being renovated.

This was a convenient location to visit my mother in a nursing home. Felt very secure and comfortable. There are many hotels nearby and this was the first I tried, but I'll be going back again and again. I liked the public areas and found them very welcoming. I didn't need them much this visit but I do feel like I could just sit out there if I didn't want to be alone. I also really liked the pool. It was very clean though I wish there was a bit more seating and space around the outside.

I have made it a point to use Hampton Inn wherever possible in our travels. Reason for visit: I have traveled to all 50 states some provided by Uncle Sam while serving in the navy or the Army National Guard. My wife has traveled 50 states with this visit to Monroe Michigan. This hotel is located close to the Raisin River Battlefield, a historic battle involving British troops, Native American tribes united by Tecumseh against American military in 1813. The award for this survey goes to the folks at the front desk and breakfast area. They couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. I misplaced my room key somewhere in the many pockets my clothing had at the time. In the ”blink of an eye”, I had a new room key. I have never had a problem in any of the Hampton Inns across the USA. The only critique that I can offer is that my coffee preference is Bold Blend coffee. There was no Bold Blend coffee.

I've stayed here twice now and I think I'll be booking many more times in the future. I often come to Detroit for concerts and, as I've gotten older, I don't like doing the four hour drive home in the middle of the night. This place is right off the highway on the way home just a bit out of Detroit. Each time I've stayed here it's been very affordable and most importantly exceptionally clean - the bathrooms specifically have been spotless. It's located near gas and restaurants to start the day off right on the way home. Is it a little dated? Sure, but for the price I can't complain given how well maintained it is. Plenty of parking. Very friendly staff each visit. The breakfast is the only thing I guess I could complain about, but it's well stocked if you're into fruit, cereal, waffles, and juice. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy and it was fine, but I just grabbed a sub at Subway across the street instead for my second visit. I don't hold complimentary breakfast against any hotel though as I'm picky.

We have stayed here numerous times and have never had any issues. But the last time we stayed and went to check out the lady at the front desk accused us of stealing a towel when we went to get our deposit back, I asked to speak with a manager and of course they wasn’t there and wouldn’t return until days later. So I asked for a phone number to speak to the manager, she proceeded to give me her personal phone number for the managers number and when I called the lady at the front desk answered and hung up on me. So after arguing with this woman for 15 mins it wasn’t even worth talking to someone so ignorant, it was clear she needed the towel money. We have stayed here at least 15 times and this will be the last. I would not suggest staying here. Also as I was leaving another couple was accused to having an animal in their room when they didn’t even have an animal with them.

Came for the weekend got there on Friday night Libby ( not sure if I spelled it correctly )is Awesome l!! Great customer service and patience. Birthday girls trip for my best friend and she definitely had patience for us All lol . She made the stay no hassles and worry free l! Didn’t care for the second floor Morning clean lady she had attitude and told us not to take anything off her cart which we were only about to get in elevator her assumption really didn’t sit well with me and messed up the positive energy while going to get morning coffee . Early morning Desk clerk was very nice she kept smiling and having great customer service saw her going over and beyond cleaning and helping Great attitude. Over all great experience minus the inconvenience with the lady the rooms were clean and Great location from everything . Definitely will stay there again.
