Contrary to other reviews, we found this hotel to be very clean and comfortable. We always stay on top floor if possible and ask for a quiet room. Both requests were met. Our room was large and well designed and decorated. The check-in was easy and the room was very quiet. Everything in the room was up to date and worked properly. The lady at the desk was very helpful. WE have absolutely no complaints and the price of the room was a bargain in relation to many other places stayed on our vacation.

Stopped the night after a long 560-mile day. Hotel was very nice and modern. Room was excellent with a nice kitchen. Hotel very clean and comfortable. One thing though, now that I'm reading the comments below. I don't recall at check in any mention of comp dinner. We got in about 6pm and were very hungry. Our room was on the end of the hotel so we parked there and left thru the side entrance. Not going thru the lobby or we would have seen the bar/restaurant. A shame becasue there are no restaurants around really, we ended up getting chicken wings at the Pilot Service Center (very good!) and a bottle of wine at Apache Liquor!! lol

The keys didn't work. The employee didn't believe me and came to my room to check it (1am)... didn't work... when she went back, only 1 key worked, then leave, with no apologize/ not being sorry (with my wife disable sit on the floor while waiting) or at least a ”good night”...
They asked for a second credit card for ”in case I break something”
Bathroom clean but not perfect
Bed does a strong metallic noise from the strings when we move
Chair was broken

We stayed here overnight on a road trip. I thought it was a bit pricey, but not much choice in the area of brand hotels and the others were sold out. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and everything was clean. Personnel were friendly and professional. Breakfast was the usual fare and was enough to get us on the road until we could stop for lunch. Nothing to really complain about - unevenful stay, which is a win in my book!

Very nice midrange hotel, reasonably priced for a Marriott, but it is in a smaller community. Checked in with the app, but stopped at the front desk for hard copy keys, and that was a quite a nice experience - smiles and friendly. The room was clean, nicely appointed. Not sure what’s with the wallpaper in the hallway - looks like it had an adhesion failure and someone taped it back up with clear packing tape. It had no effect on our stay - I just thought it odd that it hadn’t been dealt with. Aside from that, it was a typical fine stay. The hot items at breakfast were somewhat lacking - appeared to be microwaved breakfast sandwiches being kept warm. Did well with everything else offered, and coffee was good. Would I stay again - probably but I’d check out what else was available in town.

GGuest UserWe stayed here overnight on a road trip. I thought it was a bit pricey, but not much choice in the area of brand hotels and the others were sold out. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and everything was clean. Personnel were friendly and professional. Breakfast was the usual fare and was enough to get us on the road until we could stop for lunch. Nothing to really complain about - unevenful stay, which is a win in my book!

GGuest UserNice HIE with newer flooring instead of carpet. Convenient size bathroom that worked for two people. This was a travel stop for one night and suited us just fine. The computer was down when we arrived but we were given rooms and that didn't present a problem. We stopped by the desk on the way out.

GGuest UserThere aren't many hotel choices in the Fort Stockton area, and even fewer choices that are pet friendly. We are normally Marriott loyalists, but the Fairfield Inn does not allow pets so we chose the Candlewood Suites by default. We have never stayed in the Candlewood Suite brand before, so we weren't sure what to expect. Wow! We were pleasantly surprised. Love love loved out experience The hotel appears in great shape and updated. The staff were friendly and professional. Room was clean, fresh smelling with a comfortable mattress. Frankly, the comfort of the room is comparable to the experience at high end hotels. Hotel is located right off I-10 and has complementary parking right at the front door. The hotel advertises ”no breakfast” but they offer complementary tea, coffee and oatmeal (sounds like a breakfast to me), but if that doesn't appeal to you, they have food items for sale in the cupboard that are VERY reasonably priced. If that still doesn't appeal to you there is a McDonalds within walking distance. If you are looking for fine dining, you're in Fort Stockton (good luck with that) Best part of the hotel? Complementary laundry facilities with working and up to date machines. I always travel with a roll of quarters and I have never seen a hotel offer complementary laundry facilities. Pet fee is a very reasonable $35 for the stay. There is a grassy area behind the hotel for pet relief. Could be bigger, but beggars can't be choosers. We stayed here to visit Big Bend National Park. There are closer hotels, but we are glad we chose this location. In summary.... love love love this hotel. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Kudos to management.

JJeremie PRETEThe keys didn't work. The employee didn't believe me and came to my room to check it (1am)... didn't work... when she went back, only 1 key worked, then leave, with no apologize/ not being sorry (with my wife disable sit on the floor while waiting) or at least a ”good night”...
They asked for a second credit card for ”in case I break something”
Bathroom clean but not perfect
Bed does a strong metallic noise from the strings when we move
Chair was broken
...
Nice but not”great”... good for the price ($70)

GGuest UserI was tired and was glad to have a room to lay my weary head on a pillow for the night and had my two dogs with me. It was a long day's drive and I was really tired. The bed was very very firm and I did not have a good night's rest because of it, but overall, it was worth the stop and the breakfast

Facilities: The disadvantage is that there is no hair dryer. Two rooms booked at the same price, one with a refrigerator and microwave, and one without.
Service: The house number went to the office three times (because it was bad).
