Behind the wall there is a hidden oasis. This is a perfect hotel with amazing architecture and the best outlook. Room 4 and 6 have a great view over the river to the temple. The bar upstairs is very relaxing and great selection of cocktails. The cheesecake is so special. Breakfast or diner on the terrace just watching the river and the world go by is very relaxing. I love the little lounge nook with the pillows, just ideal for reading or surfing or snoozing. Staff service was perfect. I will be back.

The price is too high! The hotel is great. By the river, it is separated from the internet celebrity hotel Sala Ayutthaya. The environment does not lose it. Very Thai atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. Especially the uncle at the door, the service is so good I am embarrassed, the person is sincere and kind. Opposite the hotel is a temple with a particularly beautiful night view. The room is big enough and the bath water is strong. The bed is a big bed made of two beds, which does not affect. That is, the air conditioner is noisy, and light sleep will have some impact. The breakfast is a fruit buffet + a set menu, which is delicious. The nearby Thanam Viewing Restaurant has delicious dishes and the price is not expensive. Recommended stay

We stayed at the resort in one of the pool villas for an extended weekend. The villas are spacious and very nicely decorated, each in its own style. Ours had its balcony toward East, atop of the fish pond, which made a wonderful setup for a morning coffee (espresso machine dolce gusto in the room!). Some of the pool villas have an outdoor shower (private/closed of course) - you would have to ask for a room with it. The staff was super super helpful and friendly, assisting us in whatever we required. The restaurant with its open terrace is a wonderful setting for breakfast (bacon / ham and eggs, sausages, toast, marmalade, or Thai breakfast if you want) as well as for dinner. Food quality / taste was amazing. The whole setup is tranquil, the trees amazing (next to our villa was one in full blossom, inviting dozens of dozens of butterflies swarming up and down). Next to the restaurant there is a very cozy area with tables, chairs, benches and a swing under the tall trees. The spa was unfortunately closed during our stay but it would be reopened soon. Whenever we will come back to Ayutthaya, we will stay at Pludhaya again - next time we will opt for the suite version, on the other side of the resort, overlooking the fields. The setup is amazing but the hospitality of the team there made our stay truly enjoyable!

This was an experience I wouldn't have missed. If you want to stay authentic, this is the place. We were the only guests in this hotel. It is on an island. You're picked up by the boat when you call. The rest you feel so close to the city is unique. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom. Bad room is separate from your bedroom. But don't experience this as a problem. It's been cooked nicely for us. A walk made on the island where you walk between the houses where people live and work.

Review Don’t hesitate staying here! We haven’t been to Thailand in about 10 years, and we’ve never been to Ayutthaya before. We’ve stayed at several home stays, but this one was by far the best! We stayed in room 12 which was upstairs which has its own bathroom right in the room. I think it was called a deluxe double. The reviews are high for a reason, and they are positive because of these reasons. 1. The greeting we received from the owner was very friendly and professional. She shared a map and highlighted the key landmarks and recommended the best restaurant on the River which was only about 10 minutes away on foot. It’s called BaanMaiRimNun. The portions we big and well priced. 2. The room was extremely clean and smelled amazing! All sheets are washed, hung outside to dry, hand pressed, and smelled great even after three days. She offered to clean our room, but we didn’t feel it was necessary since it was still very clean, and we only stayed 3 days. We never saw insects except for a few mosquitoes at breakfast. I’ve stayed in some home stays with some large bugs, so I was worried. But this wasn’t a problem at all! 3. We requested wash and dry service, and she was able to quickly get them back to us. I’d recommend giving her at least a full day or two to get them back to you. She accommodated this short notice the night before checkout, but it would have been better for us to give her more time. 4. Breakfast was simple, BUT the quality was very good and delicious. We got to choose one main dish per person and unlimited toast and coffee. They served fruit and jam upon arriving downstairs. Some of the foreigners were a bit rude, and the parents let their kids cough all over the bread. Of course, this isn’t the fault of the owners. It’s just the nature of some of the people that travel to Thailand from other countries. 5. As some other reviewers have noted, the front rooms are no longer available/used perhaps because of the noisy road. Our room was the next one right behind these, and we barely noticed the noise, especially at night when there is much less traffic. We shut the wooden shutters, and we couldn’t hear much noise. We also slept early because of working on West Coast time in the US. But the light was totally blocked out and noise was very low. If you are a very light sleeper, I’d recommend brining eat plugs to anywhere in Thailand. 6. The location was less than 10-20 minutes from almost anywhere in Ayutthaya or a 100 bhat tuktuk. There’s also a very nice evening restaurant area which opens at 3:00 pm near the closest 7-11. We loved eating at the restaurant right in front of the nearby 7-11. The lady there was very friendly and the food was pretty good. Not sure of the name as it was in Thai, but I’ll try posting pictures in each review. Overall, we’d definitely like to stay much longer next time, and we’d come back just to stay here. As mentioned above, the reviews are high for a reason. I’d truthfully like to stay a couple

A wonderful place to relax and to visit the old town. You need a car as it is located in a small quiet town, on the outskirts of Ayutthaya. Nana and Brian are wonderfully nice people. You immediately feel their hospitality and friendliness. The same goes for their staff. The small-scale complex gives you a relaxed feeling. You don't have to do anything, relax yourself and enjoy the peace and the great beautiful garden. The cottages are clean and cozy. You have to get used to the many decorations, also in the small restaurant, but it is actually part of it. It's homely. You get a lot of information and they really help you with everything. The breakfast and dinner are overwhelming and very tasty. And certainly not expensive. We kept coming back to eat at Nana's as she cooks fantastic, both Asian and European. Ánd the coffe is perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed the conversations with Brian and Nana. I liked that Brian recognized the music of The Golden Earring (Netherlands) and he was a personal friend of Hans Vermeulen (Sandy Coast). For our next trip, we received 4 delicious home-baked muffins. We appreciate staying at Cattani's Riverside Home and can recommend it to anyone to stay here for a few days. Good budget rooms. Tired hotel but clean and great value. Clean white sheets, but not so nice blanket. Pillows where quite soft so had a good night's sleep. Air worked well albeit a bit noisy, and to be fare at 550baht a night for an AC room I have no complaints. The shower kept it's pressure and temperature. Only down fall for us is the location and lack of bars/night life but we did find a particular bar close by called Aoeng which was great.

I have stayed Baan Canalee house for one night, the room and design are interesting and modern. Its close to little klong behind the garden. I highly recommend for who looking for a place to stay in Ayutthaya. I will be back there again soon.
