The Hotel Vila Katrca is a good value for staying in Ljubjana. It is about a 20 minute walk to Triple Bridge. It has almost a hostel like feel to the hotel. While it was a good value it was definitely not a luxury. The first thing we noticed was a slight smell of cigarette smoke when we entered the room. This lingered our whole stay. We had a queen bed and a pullout sofa for our family of 4 adults. This was sufficient. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very flat. The room was clean spacious. The bathroom was small. The hotel employees and owners were fantastic, very helpful and friendly. We went to the wrong hotel and they helped up get to the correct one easily. There is only someone at the hotel in the mornings for breakfast. You must get a key out of a lock box for your room, they email this information to you. Breakfast was nice: hard boiled eggs, pastries, meat and cheese, bread and rolls, jam and honey, tomatoes, capers, etc. Breakfast is included in the price of the room and there is free parking. This was our second visit to Ljubjana, we would stay here again, but if it is your first visit I would suggest some place closer to the city center. If you do not have a car and parking is not an issue there are plenty of places near the town center, but be aware they are expensive. With a car parking is an issue, the Hotel Vila Katrca was a good compromise.

We were looking for for an affordable place not too far from the highway and the city center. Nestled in a safe residential neighborhood, this small family run business is exactly what we needed. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and service. Small parking places, gated for 5 cars. Some good recommendations nearby (walking distance) for restaurants as we couldn't eat within the premises, the F&B staff was on holiday!

Although this hotel was a little out of town, we didn’t find this a problem We caught a taxi (6euros)into the city and walked back It was perfect for driving to our day trips to. Lake Bled and the caves. Parking was easy and free The staff were helpful The apar**ent was clean and comfortable The breakfast was good Limited selection but tasty We would recommend staying here

L'hôtel est bien situé. Les chambres sont très belles, joliment décorées, design et confortables (matelas mou, mais OK). Le buffet du petit déjeuner est correct et le café excellent. Notre expérience a été gâchée lors du check-out, car le prix facturé était supérieur à celui annoncé. Et, on nous maintient le contraire. Passez par Booking ou TripAdvisor pour réserver, en direct vous pouvez avoir une surprise - négative ... d'autant plus que nous avons du payer plus cher en direct que via ces plate-formes de réservation. C'est dommage
