Summer Days is located about fifteen minutes from Puerto Princessa airport. It is possible to ask them for a taxi transfer. The place is calm, lush with vegetation and on a human scale, since there are only 8 rooms with a very good wifi connection. You can also reach other more lively areas by tuk tuk very easily. The welcome is very friendly and professional, the accompaniment to the room is part of the check-in and the explanation of how the establishment works is complete. The location is well secured since the main gate closes at 9:00 p.m. and access is via a gate with an individual key. The choice of breakfast is varied (Phillipin, continental, muesli, sandwich, coffee, tea...) and plentiful. It is also possible to have lunch and dinner on site, in the air-conditioned interior space or in the garden with fan. The room is spacious, functional and very clean, tastefully furnished. Another advantage for coffee lovers is that they have a coffee menu of all types, espresso, cappuccino, Americano, latte, iced, caramel.... They are excellent!
Wow, this place is truly magical. We really enjoyed every single moment of our journey here. We actually stayed at this resort for 4 nights and wanted to stay longer. Staff were always super helpful, kind and very polite from the very beginning. The food and drinks here are amazing. The view from our room was super beautiful. Do not hesitate to book at this resort. You won’t regret it at all. It’s completely worth it.
This is supposedly the only 5 star resort in the area which is sad as I think competition might actually inspire them to do better. The place itself is very nice and initial impressions are quite excellent. But the longer we stayed the more we noticed the lack of upkeep in the rooms. The size of the bathroom is big but there is not a single electrical outlet inside so you cannot plug in anything not even the hairdryer. The shower glass door does not close shut and with the very strong water pressure you can be assured of a very wet overflowing floor outside of the shower enclosure. We paid for 2 extra persons in the room which they informed us meant sharing the beds and breakfast inclusive but they don’t automatically provide the extra towels. Even after calling them to request for more towels they still took more than 2 days to give us our extra towels. The water in the pool is quite warm and not refreshing as the heat of the sun kept it quite warm but some of our friends actually liked it that way so it’s more of a personal preference. The drying rack in the balcony is a nice touch as we can dry our swim clothes there. There are also water dispensers in the hallway which is great for refilling the complimentary glass bottles of water provided. Buffet breakfast is included in the room rates but don’t expect anything extraordinary. The Italian restaurant in the resort does not seem to be ready for the tourist influx as food came out ever so slowly and we felt bad for the foreign tourists who don’t complain as much as the locals so we did get our food faster than they did. The resort is expanding so there is construction ongoing which is a positive sign of tourist revival in PP which I’m happy about for them but I wish they would also pay closer attention to the upkeep of the existing rooms.

First of all, let me start by saying how much we LOVED our stay. The location is absolutely stunning, and we had an amazing stay. First and foremost, I want to thank to all the staffs esp to Aj ( who made our stay extra special. The food for me was exceptional, they had a wide variety of cuisines, and I was there for 2 nights and didn't have a bad meal while I was there. I felt the food price was very reasonable given the location, service and quality Astoria set the bar incredibly high and for someone who considers themselves to have a vacation I would highly recommend this place.
Excellent place for staycation with family and loved ones if you want a place where you can relax and breathe sea breeze with nice ambience. Has friendly, approachable and professional hotel staffs, rooms are opened using a key card - spacious with minimalist designs, beds and comforters are nice, with free water bottles, water heater and coffee. Also comes with clean toilet with free toiletries (towel, toothbrush & toothpaste, comb, razor, soap, shower cap & vanity kit [cotton buds] also includes free rubber slippers for all around and comfy use) as well as hair dryer/blower attached at the side of bathroom mirror, the room also has a vault safety box, flatscreen TV and mini refrigerator. The buildings have elegant structures. They also have really great swimming pool area! We got a room that is pool access and it made our stay more wonderful. Foods are delicious. Great buffet set up. Sunset can be watched at the rooftop of the gazebo near the seashore. You can borrow and ride a bicycle inside the hotel premises and do kayaking if the sea is high tide. Very nice and instagrammable place! Will definitely come back here for sure.
Very comfortable beds and pillows, lage ensuing room, excellent shower. Loved the very large balcony area and gardens. Excellent breakfasts. Lovely helpful staff. Very easy to hail an inexpensive trike to go anywhere from just outside. Easy to get to a few hotels nearby that offer day passes to use bar resturants and pools. The pool here we did not use as its totally inside - great if you want a proper lengths swim. The gardens here are beautiful. Highly recommend for a very reasonably price comfortable accommodation in Peurto Princessa. The staff can easily book trips if you want.
With a stay at OYO 554 Dad’s Bayview Pension in Puerto Princesa (Puerto Princesa City Centre), you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Lu-Li Island and Bonton Falls. This hotel is 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from Plaza Cuartel and 0.6 mi (0.9 km) from Mendoza Park.
This hotel offers designated smoking areas.
Enjoy a meal at the restaurant, or stay in and take advantage of the hotel's 24-hour room service.
Make yourself at home in one of the 2 air-conditioned rooms featuring flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and cable programming is available for your entertainment. Bathrooms feature showers with rainfall showerheads.
Staff were friendly which is the only good point for me to be honest. Otherwise I was disappointed for the following reasons (some are illustrated by pictures) There was a fridge in the room which had rust that didn’t work, there was what looks like mould in the bathroom. There was a electrical plug socket hanging half of the wall ( do not think safe to use). There was an extra guest on the floor- not sure if it was there for decoration or if it was alive ( picture will show you what I mean). The accommodation is right at the back of the main road. Which means you have a long path to walk down to get to it. Not ideal at night to be honest Not an accommodation I would stay at again to be honest.
My family scheduled a getaway to Palawan during the last long weekend of August. Sir Earl, his wife, and his staff were incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived at PPS airport to our time at the accommodation. Throughout our 5-day stay, the complimentary breakfast was satisfying, although it would be nice to see more options on the menu. Our experience was smooth and hassle-free. The staff was very responsive to all our inquiries. If you plan to visit Rancho Mitra, Butterfly Garden, and Baker's Hill, they are just a short tricycle ride away from the hotel, taking about 3-5 minutes. You can even opt to walk to the main highway and ride motor cabs if you intend to go to the Crocodile Farm, Cathedral, and Baywalk. Our experience with the locals showed that Palawenyos are very welcoming to tourists, so don't hesitate to explore the city. Generally, residents do not take advantage of visitors. I tried to consider other hotels, but only Earl de Princesa offered a budget-friendly price without compromising on comfort and hospitality. I was not disappointed. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary amenities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and hot showers.
Simple room , a little bit of noise due to the thin wall
But overall good for quality price

AAprillice AlvezHad the best time at The Funny Lion! They provided complimentary airport transfers and bikes, which made getting around so convenient. The staff helped us book tours and rentals, making our trip hassle-free. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with free tote bags, drinks, coffee and fruits. The variety of complimentary fruity drinks was a delightful touch. They're SUPER accommodating. Shout-out to Desiree and their general manager, Mike. And especially, Livia that's been in contact with me via WhatsApp. She on top of everything.
While the food is a bit pricey, the 999 Saturday dinner buffet was super worth it. Our room was impeccably clean with the most comfortable bed and pillows. The bathroom was spacious, very clean, and had excellent water pressure. We appreciated the bidet and the abundance of towels. The peaceful atmosphere made our stay even more enjoyable.
They also gave us complimentary cookies and friendship bracelets when we checked out and even brought us to the airport. As first-time visitors to Palawan, The Funny Lion gave us the best vacation ever. Highly recommend!
EEnrique MiceliI had an amazing stay at Panja Resort Palawan. The views from the hotel are simply breathtaking, offering a serene and picturesque environment that made my stay incredibly relaxing. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring.
The hotel environment was perfect, with lush greenery and a tranquil atmosphere that added to the overall charm of the place. The pool area was fantastic, offering a great spot to unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The service was outstanding, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their professionalism and hospitality truly enhanced my experience.
Overall, Panja Resort Palawan deserves a full 5 stars for its excellent amenities, stunning views, and exceptional service. I highly recommend this hotel to solo travelers looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway.
GGuest UserThis place is obviously still struggling from the effects of the Covid lockdowns. The staff is the best part of this place. The air conditioner is undersized & has a daylight gap all around it. The room refrigerator is worthless because its electric circuit shuts down when you leave the room. Who wants to come back from a trip & grab a warm drink from the ref? Breakfast buffet is pretty slim. They post signage asking you to conserve water, but they don't even include water saving faucets or shower heads. And then there were the bugs. If I had known that they are offering 'Hourly Rates' I would have avoided this place.
GGuest UserI recently attended the October Fest at Canvas Hotel with my friends, and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel had a wide variety of cocktails and delicious food options, including some mouthwatering pizzas. It's an awesome place for bonding and having a great time. One highlight was the ”Chill Night” they host every Friday, which added to the fun and made the evening even more enjoyable. The hotel itself was in great condition, clean, and well-maintained, which definitely enhanced our experience. I must give a special shoutout to the waiters at Canvas. They were all incredibly accommodating and made our visit even more enjoyable. Also, a big thanks to Ms. HR for arranging this wonderful bonding. She's always so accommodating, and it's greatly appreciated. Overall, our time at Canvas Hotel was a blast. We had a lot of fun and genuinely enjoyed ourselves. I'm now looking forward to planning a staycation with my family there and will definitely recommend it to my relatives and friends. It's a place where good times are guaranteed!
445daWe spent a week while in this hotel is very well hosting the boss speaks very well French ! Comfortable room pleasant bathroom sympathetic decorations very gentle price bravos to remake André
KKenDucsWe recently had the pleasure of staying here, and I must say it was one of the cleanest hotels I've experienced in Palawan. The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to access local attractions. However, there was some noise from a nearby bar late at night. It wasn't too distracting for me, especially on the higher floors, so I recommend requesting one of those if you’re sensitive to sound.
The hotel itself is well-maintained, likely due to its recent renovations. The elevator, though small, was smooth and always clean, which added to the overall pleasant experience. The bathroom was a highlight—very clean and comfortable, although I did find the water heater a bit challenging to adjust.
Each room features a smart lock and a smart TV with Netflix and other apps, which is a nice touch. The Wi-Fi was reliable, even on the highest floor, allowing for seamless browsing.
One area for improvement would be the bedding. While the mattress and pillows were decent, a thicker comforter would enhance the sleeping experience, as the provided blanket was quite thin.
The staff were friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While this may not be a luxury hotel, it offers excellent cleanliness and customer service, making it a great choice for travelers. I would certainly consider staying here again!
AAdamBilgyBetween the main bus station and the airport in a quiet area, and only a 100 peso ride from the airport. A 20 minute walk from a large shopping mall. The whole place is very clean and nice, with comfortable sun beds by a large clean swimming pool. Room is comfortable and clean, with good aircon and linens. Shower pretty powerful. Excellent WiFi. Outside areas with small Gym, bar and food area. This place doesn't accept credit cards, wants a 2000 peso cash deposit and you can't check into your room a minute before the 2pm deadline. Also no check out flexibility, or use of the pool after check out which they will charge for. Room fridge full of expensive drinks, but there is a shop a 2 minute walk away where you can buy soft drinks and use the room fridge to keep them cool. Breakfast is adequate and basic, but good value in terms of the overall price. Overall very good value and i would highly recommend.
113amarasAfter our experience in Manila, this place was fantastic. It was affordable, clean and comfortable - but not quite like the pictures. The staff were very nice and let us hang out and look after our baggage well and truely after we had checked out. However be careful, when I booked this the name I was given of the Hotel was Red Doorz, which there are many of and firstly ended up at the wrong hotel
AAnonymous UserIt’s ok. Pretty basic, but clean enough. The owners/management seemed a little bit disorganised. Several different people kept checking my reservation with me , during the time I was there. I was going to stay a couple of nights extra but then got tired of continually asking , so I just moved to another place 😂
AAnonymous UserHotel was awesome! It’s right by the sea, and our room had a fantastic ocean view.
The pool was great, perfect for a swim or just chilling out in the sun. It's well-kept and a nice spot to relax.
We loved the on-site resto/cafe. I had an americano and it was on par. It was a great place to start the day with its super cozy and welcoming vibe.
For fun, they have a dart board and a Pinoy pool table. We had a blast playing both in the mornings with my family.
Overall, Microtel Puerto Princesa was an amazing experience with its great location, awesome amenities, and fun activities. Highly recommend it for a laid-back seaside getaway!
