This hotel has a good environment and good hygiene. The boss is Chinese, so he takes every detail into consideration. The Bannick salmon in the morning was delicious. It's a 5-minute drive from the town center. You can call a taxi for SGD 20. The only problem is that the room rates are quite high compared to other hotels in town. You can consider it if you are not short of money, and the experience is good.

I'll start with the things I liked. The breakfast buffet. It was nice to have a quick way to get a good breakfast at the hotel. The decorating in the lobby was very nice. Now the not to nice parts: The room was cramped with 2 queen-sized beds. (Though it did have a refrigerator and kettle.) I opened the curtains to be surprised by shredded sheers. The wi-fi was very poor. The access is not handicap accessible. The front steps did not have a railing. The ramp was great for luggage, but would not have accommodated a wheelchair. (I have bad knees and use a cane.) They seems understaffed. A common problem throughout our trip. But the staff was helpful. They acknowledged the torn sheers and have plans to replace them all.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is located in the city center. The tourist center and various tourist attractions are very convenient. The environment is good and the service attitude is very good. I will continue to live here next time. This is the surrounding attractions

We were very disappointed in this motel. We had booked a queen studio room and when we arrived were told we had been upgraded to a one bedroom unit. It did have a separate bedroom but it was small and had a SMALL double bed and single bed in it (we had to put our bags on the single bed as space was so limited). The sheets were clean and fresh towels were provided daily. There were thick layers of dust in all of the corners and edges of the room, mould in the shower and the crockery & cutlery provided were filthy. I took some of the crockery back to the office and they washed it but we washed everything we wished to use. The motel is old, tired and dirty.

Very clean and tidy small courtyard, convenient parking and super convenient shopping. Chinese little brother, also sent coupons for various attractions, thank you very much. Very much like a small hotel, the price is close to the people, stayed for four days, great.

The motel units are clean, comfortable, and adequate for a short stay. I had left a telephone message before arrival, and not had any reply, so when we arrived and I introduced myself, the young lady explained to me that the owners do not speak English, and she, herself is only a part time worker who helps them out. HOW in NZ, can this happen? The criteria for living and working in NZ, as a foreigner, is that English is tested prior to working visa's or residency is granted (being an immigrant myself, I know this first hand!). Despite this language barrier, which is more annoying than anything else, our stay was comfortable. The unit could do with a freshen up - coat of paint, new bathroom floors, shower glass cleaned better etc. We chose this motel as it had a hot tub, but the tub annoyingly switches off every supposed 8 - 10 minutes. This seemed more like every 5 minutes and the re-set switch is so far away from the tub, you have to hop out in the COLD to switch it back on! So much for my relaxing time. The motel request to avoid using the hot tub after 10pm is realistic and understandable, and we were happy to comply. I'm sure we will return, possibly. Hope the re-set hot tub switches are moved by then!

This was the only motel we could find last minute and ended up staying a few nights over January. The place is a little old, but rooms we had for 2 adults 1 child were clean, including bedding and towels. Anything that was amiss, broken tv/fan were replaced immediately. They will top up your coffees, tea satchets, have microwave, kettle and electric camp stove top, bar fridge. Laundry room where you can grab the key from the office.. washing machine and dryer. A good basic motel with 24hr BP service station if you need something that cannot wait. Room price reasonable for this time of year. Location perfect, far enough away from CBD and other motels were being trashed by homeless pre covid. 5min walk to Whakarewarewa - recommended!

Sorry - and it takes a lot for me to write a bad review - but I had booked to stay here 2 nights over Easter weekend. I had booked out the room several months in advance as I know things book up over the holiday periods, and then I got a call last week saying sorry, but we can no longer accommodate you and that I needed to find somewhere else to stay. Something about work needing to be done? By telling me the week before Easter, I was left with literally no where to stay Only thing left in Rotorua was hostels beds or luxury accomodation. They had suggested I try one other hotel, but even that was like double the price I had paid for their hotel, so no thanks. Cant afford it. So now I'm stuck staying in Cambridge & need to try 1 hr each way, each day to enjoy Rotorua over my holiday weekend. I do understand things happen, but that was really piss poor timing. Not at all impressed.
