Sashimi of sashimi had been better - three flattery thin sticks where my mother has become sick, and this hotel is also a temporary reception centre for asylum seekers. We haven't found any problems here, but communicate with your guests. Something with transparency? This is your duty as a million group, namely. It's good that you can offer asylum seekers a hot bed, but a little heads-up was good. Not everyone is served here. Take an example to your colleagues in Brabant, van der Valk. The pictures look great and the location is very rural, if you are looking for a stay near the Veluwe. Checkin was 3pm and we showed up that time with nobody at the reception area desk. We waited for a person to check us in and finally a lady showed up and told us that there were others in front of us and pointed to people seated. After awhile another person showed up and they checked us in. It is a mystery to me why they could not check us in and provided the key when the room was ready. Seems very petty and not customer friendly. We paid for an upgraded room and it had a small bedroom and large sitting area. No refrigerator but there was a teakettle etc. The housekeeping crew had not done a very good job as it was still a bit dirty, no soap anywhere, just two little thin towels and no shampoo. Usually most of these places have large bottles now but they did not. The room was cold and we tried to turn the heat on but it did not seem to work. There is no airconditioner. We notified the front desk and they said they would take care of it. When we returned the room was even colder, heat did not work, no soap but we did have some more towels. I tried to call, but the phone did not work. Went downstairs and waited for the front desk person. It seems there are shorthanded and when the person has to do an errand, there is no one around. The same person who I talked to before, showed up and brought some soap and shampoo and said he had turned on the heat. Unfortunately, it did not work. No one around to fix it. He gave us some blankets. The night was cold as the heat never did work. I asked the front desk about it the next day and they indicated the main office was the one to complaint to. I emailed them and have not heard back. The bar is nice with good but a bit expensive drinks. The restaurant had some interesting specials for dinner (which we did not have) but the breakfast buffet was not elaborate but nice. Parking is ample in various lots around the estate. There is another really nice restaurant nearby called the Peerdestal. Great for a nice fancy dinner out, but reservations are definitely recommended.

We were in Arnhem from 25 th to 31st of August to drop our daughter into Arnhem business school - we stayed here during the time. It’s private and cozy and very friendly staff with a small resturant serving nice food and drinks right next to the hotel. Staff helped us getting taxis and also refunded the 3 day money when we decided to check out earlier. A few things that were not upto mark : the duplex studio was very nicely designed but was too small with very steep stairs ( if you have knee issues or someone who is travelling with a LB elderly Check this part beforehand ) Being an apartment and not a hotel there is not reception or round the clock service. Another important point is there is no UBER in Arnhem and getting a taxi to go around is a far more difficult task than one is used to in cities.

The breakfast is a little bit worse. The overall feeling of the accommodation is very good. The old building is behind the train. But the windows are very soundproof. I will come back next time. It is convenient to go around, about 1.5 km from Cologne and 15 minutes walk.

Just a short (thankfully downhill) walk from the railway station (extensive rail and bus services give easy access to almost anywhere in the Netherlands) the hotel is an even shorter walk from the north bank of the Nederrijn with its shady walks and numerous restaurants. Very handy as there is no restaurant at any IHG Express. As I arrived mid-morning the room was not ready but the staff (more about them later) were happy to store my case until I returned that afternoon (and again after checkout before leaving on an afternoon train). The room itself was a good size with a large comfortable bed, a functional desk and chair and a comfortable chair. Air conditioning kept the temperature stable and the lighting was good - not the ”fashionable” near darkness of some. Bathroom was good with a spacious shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. Coffee and tea available. Breakfast is the only meal offered and is a fairly basic standard european offering. Meats, eggs and cheeses were adequate, yoghurt good, fresh fruit salad very good indeed. Coffee was machine provided and good with a variety of offerings. No hot options (standard with the Express brand) and I did not try any of the other cold choices. Although fairly centrally located with easy access to shops and all the usual facilities and infrastructure the room was quiet and peaceful. An Albert Heijn mini-supermarket opposite attracted small groups in the evening but was not a bother - indeed very useful for an occasional small purchase. All standard and as expected for the brand so why mark it excellent? I will come back to the staff who were unfailingly excellent - helpful, cheery and friendly (though never less than professional) and recognised me by the end of day 1. A credit to the hotel and its management. This is now my first choice when next in the vicinity

The hotel is located directly opposite the Arnhem Railway Station, and it is especially convenient to travel to other places. There are many restaurants, bakeries, famous food supermarkets in the Netherlands along the street downstairs, so life is also quite convenient. By the way, if you arrive at Arnhem by train for the first time, remember to go out to the underground floor. The two of us stupidly picked up our luggage and chose to take the elevator up and out of the station. As a result, we looked at the train station and the hotel. We walked around a big circle and actually went down the station. Go to the train station gate, the hotel is 100 meters from the gate If the hotel of the same grade is in Amsterdam, the price will be more than double. We consider working near Arnhem the next day, so we still choose to stay in Arnhem. The money saved is used for transportation and more than enough to eat a big meal. If you go to Amsterdam, take the train to Amsterdam Central Station in 1 hour, and there is a corresponding train to Schiphol Airport. The breakfast at the hotel was very delicious and the mattress was very comfortable... Overall, we were quite satisfied.

The layout of the room we stayed in was very unreasonable. It looked quite big. There was no place to let go. After two days of heating, the heating was not warm. They responded to the front desk of four shifts. Everyone’s attitude was not bad. No one has solved the problem, and some people have said to me, ”I don't feel cold, how can you be cold?”... You are Iron Man, I am probably a normal human, because I feel cold at 4 degrees...
