After staying for one night, I found three geckos running fast, and I was still a little scared. 😂. The facilities are OK, but the electricity is unstable. The power is cut off several times. Although the call is very fast, the hot water is too small. There is no separate restaurant. If you eat, you will take the car at the front desk to the next house for dinner. Hilton Yala Resort is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at throughout our travels. Clean rooms, attentive staff, private pools amazing technology, natural beauty - honestly was an amazing experience. Where to start with this amazing hotel. From the minute we arrived the service was exceptional. All the staff were extremely helpful and their attention to guests needs is one of the best we’ve ever had. A special thanks to Vino for his Amazing service throughout our stay and making our trip a memorable one. Also a special thanks to chef Shaakir Majeed. A chef who is passionate about food and did not fail to satisfy our tastebuds. Overall a great experience, and if we are ever to return to Sri Lanka, Yala we will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Amazing experience. One of the best hotels we've stayed at. The food is incredible, my wife is gluten free and has coeliac, therefore, she becomes very sick if she's eats food containing gluten. The head of the restaurant, I believe his name was Dilshan (apologize if this is wrong) was outstanding, he went out of his way to go through all the meals with my stating which ones were gluten free and even provided a plate of desserts which he got the chef to make specifically for her. Such a kind hearted gentleman. The service was phenomenal as per the other Jetwings we have stayed at. We will definitely be back.

The pictures on the official website of the room say it all, but there is a surprise that it is a family cocoon. It turns out that the price includes a twin bed room in addition to the master bedroom. The original intention is to give older children a small room of their own. The food at the all-inclusive is very good. You can choose seafood and steak. The taste selection is online. For this quality of food, breakfast, lunch and dinner are worth 2000+ in Shanghai. In terms of facilities, except for a larger swimming pool in the public area and a library spa, the other facilities are relatively lacking. Compared with the Hilton next door, the hotel has more safari excursions, which takes about 3 hours and only has 530 in the morning and 3 pm. Because the two time periods are not suitable, I talked to the housekeeper and arranged a separate car. Although the animals encountered in the whole yala are not as many as tourists, at least leopards and elephants are seen. It only takes 10 minutes to see, but it takes up more than half of the journey. However, the guide arranged by the hotel is an undergraduate student of zoology and is quite professional. Although he leads the group every day, he is more excited than me to see the animals. I love this job very much. The hotel was invested by the owner of Dilmah, yes, the Dilmah that sells tea. When I left, I was given a can of tea with the owner's portrait as a souvenir.

Everyone said that this hotel is good, but no one said how pristine the road in is. If you only stay for one night and leave Yala, please do not book this hotel, especially during the rainy season, otherwise you will probably have to drive for several hours and face floods under heavy rain. Jinshan car did not dare to wade into the water rashly and had to ask for help from a jeep (additional fee). Another important information is that there are many mosquitoes in the room. People who are afraid of insects must not come here. If you are not afraid of insects, please bring toilet water.

A truly unique holiday experience deep in the forest. I was so glad to share it with my 8 year old daughter although she was probably too young to fully appreciate. I know one day she will remember jungle walks looking for elephants ( unfortunately (?) we didn’t stumble on any although they were all around. Kamal is a knowledgeable and thoughtful host the locally sourced vegetarian jungle food was incredible. This is a rare and authentic sustainable tourism experience in Sri Lanka. Twitchers and conservationists will love but don’t come expecting lattes and internet. If you want a swim head to Jetwings at Wellawaya for a day trip.
