Fur is OK. It feels higher than this price. Breakfast is delicious. There is a kitchen in each room. It is suitable for those who live for a long time and are willing to make some food by themselves. There are screen windows, electric fans, and no mosquito bites at night. The toilet is semi-outdoor, comfortable and not smelly, and there is a parking place.

I recently had a fantastic four-night vacation at a resort that truly exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth the price. The staff members were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist us in any way they could. The rooms were impeccably clean and provided all the necessary amenities. The pool area was well-maintained and inviting. One of the highlights was celebrating my birthday during our stay, and the staff went the extra mile to make it a memorable experience. They even helped us out when our vehicle faced a problem, making things much easier for us. Interestingly, though we initially planned for a two-night stay, we were so taken by the place that we extended it to four nights. Saying goodbye was a bit difficult as we had such a wonderful time. I'm eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to return. A noteworthy point is that the owner was exceptionally nice and contributed to making us feel extremely comfortable throughout our stay. If you're seeking a place with delectable food, a welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff, I can't recommend this resort enough. It's truly a haven for relaxation and enjoyment.

Wow! My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights at the start of our honeymoon and it was fantastic. We arrived early (around 11am) and the staff were very welcoming- we were able to sit in the restaurant and have a drink and they made our villa available earlier so we didn't have to wait long. The villa itself (Elephant villa) was fantastic!! The bed was comfortable and the room had everything we needed. The plunge pool with a view over the river was amazing and the photos did not do it justice! We enjoyed having dinner on our veranda one night. We also did a river cruise/ safari which was a great way to see wildlife. All of the staff were kind, friendly and the hospitality was wonderful. We only regretted not booking it before our flight home!

GGrandTour45189716383Incredible Location ..just off Negombo Beach . The rooms blend in perfectly with nature ..simple yet tastefully and creatively put together. The host Mr. Gomez is an angel that dropped out of the sky like manna from heaven. A perfect gentleman and incredible host he attends to his guest's EVERY requirement promptly and with meticulous care . His place feels like a home with it's always cheerful smiling staff and warm hospitality. I'd say it's a boon . The breakfast served every morning is fresh made to order with adequate fruits eggs coffee juices etc etc . Kudos to this charming place with it's equally charming decor , host and staff . God Bless you all.

It's not exactly close to anything a tourist would be interested in, however transportation is cheap and you can get to the nice bits of Negombo or to the transportation centers very easily.

GGuest UserThis was the first placed we stayed when we arrived into Sri Lanka, after reading the good reviews we had high expectations and this guest house lived up to them. Arriving late from our flight we were welcomed with a cold drink and shown to our room. So clean and spacious and a really good shower! The host was so helpful in letting us know all about the buses into Negombo and on to Kandy. He couldn’t have been more helpful. I Would recommend this place to anyone :)

GGuest UserWe booked two weeks based on reviews and photos and should have checked more closely as none of those were recent. The photos are from 2017. Where do I start, well in my humble opinion accommodation needs to fulfil some basics, namely cleanliness, service, maintenance, value for money. So let's look at this. Cleanliness is frankly appalling, our room was cleaned only after we insisted on day 5 and then only again when we asked but no towel change on either occasion. We are sure the room was full of mosquitos as we are covered in bites. The bedroom had ants and a visiting lizard. It all needed a thorough clean. The pool toilets are a disgrace and if management have looked at them in the last 5 years they have done nothing and certainly not cleaned them there isn't even a door! The pool loungers are filthy and literally have not been cleaned for a considerable time either plus there is not enough for the number of guests and they are very uncomfortable with only one position and no recline close to the worst I've ever sat on. 1/10 Service The restaurant is closed as is the bar and if you want to talk to anyone you have to be quick as reception is not manned for any length of time. The small amount of staff there are helpful though.Difficult to score service when they are not present 1/10 Maintenance The whole site has clearly had no maintenance or attention for several years even basic things. The reception toilet door lock is broken the pool toilets doesn't even have a door the communal areas are dirty flaking paint and dirt everywhere all in all very disappointed on what would have been a lovely spec previously but sadly those days are gone. Then there is the noise and bedrooms, we were on the back of the propert in a suite and the church rang it's bells every morning at 5am loudly enough and long enough to wake us every morning, they also broadcast their service over loudspeakers. The black out blinds don't black out anything and the locals use the side alley as a play area letting off fireworks at all hours when I say we got no sleep it was so bad we left and booked into another hotel after 5 days and when we came back guess what they still hadn't cleaned it. Summary No sleep, dirty rooms, biten to death, rubbish loungers.

GGuest UserWarm showers, great beds and the long experience of the proprietor, Mr Mark Thamel, makes for a great and safe guest house to stay in. You get the best, to the minute, travel tips there. Emails are answered quickly and your whole itinerary can be secured with Mr Thamel's knowledgeable organization. He can book hotels, find a comfortable car and experienced driver for you. Or something more impulsive where you make lodging decisions as you go. Also where to get return trip covid testing etc. You are in good hands. And the value is outstanding - I've traveled many times to Sri Lanka and his care is the best to be found - all at very reasonable price. He knows the country like the back of his hand, including all the best hotel deals, and has arranged trips to the farthest most isolated parts of the country for me. Those discoveries allowed me to experience the most authentic view of Sri Lanka possible. In my last trip this January, I mentioned to Dennis (perfect driver, totally in tune with the kind of trip I wanted) that I'd like to buy a Sri Lankan nativity creche. Dennis phoned Mr Thamel and he had it waiting for me at the end of my trip. You wont just get a travel planner and guest house proprietor, you will get a true friend in Sri Lanka. I was so lucky the day I first contacted him.
