The main building is said to be a registered tangible cultural property, and it is a quaint wooden building. Walking down the corridors and stairs, you will hear a nostalgic sound of ”miss”. Not everything is old, and the shared toilets and washrooms are new and clean. I was expecting a bath because it says ”secret hot spring” ... The bath crosses the corridor and is located in the ”new building”. It's far. Also, since it is a reinforced building, it has no taste like the main building at all. Perhaps because of the corona, the futon is laid out in advance, so the desk is cleaned up on the side, and the room feels small. The large and medium baths are men and women exchanged, and they change before and after dinner. If you don't take a bath at least once before dinner, you'll lose either. In addition, there are few washing places in the middle bath, and there is no drainage groove near the faucet which seems to have been extended later, and the shampoo and soap flow as it is to the washing place around it, and it feels a little disgusting. The family bath is not watered, so it's very hot, but if you want to enjoy the source, I would like to take it once during my stay. The food was delicious mainly with wild plants.

4 First visit. Hot water, food, room, hospitality and everything is real. The marriage between local gastronomy and sake that can only be enjoyed here is a surprise every time, but I enjoy it slowly after taking a bath and take a bath again before going to bed. Hotel location is remote, but self-driving is not difficult, there is free parking. There is a public toilet in the corridor, a bit unpleasant. The facilities are diversified, but need to pay. Buffet all-you-can-eat sweet shrimp sashimi. recommend!

I didn't rent a car on this trip, so I wasn't sure if I should stay at an inn near the station, but I'm glad I chose this inn because they also picked me up from the station. There are various dishes using local seasonal ingredients for rice, and alcohol has progressed. When I come back and look at the photos from the trip, I remember wanting to eat it again. I visited in autumn and had various mushroom dishes, but they were delicious, so I wanted to try the wild vegetable dishes in spring. The inn was very nice, the bath was good, and I was able to spend a very comfortable and relaxing time. I looked it up on the web before my trip, and it seems that several inns at Matsunoyama Onsen are working together to develop local cuisine, create an information website, invite famous chefs, and so on. I came back thinking that such an atmosphere is everywhere and creates a good feeling.

The facilities are relatively old and the service attitude is very good. Breakfast is very cost-effective. It is convenient to shop and eat in the shopping street nearby. We visited in January. It was after the heavy snow. It seemed to be snowy mountains everywhere. 🏔️

According to the menu, we first tasted draft beer, then local sake Hakkaisan and Kakurei chilled, but the sake was served in a nice glass decanter (?) Breakfast was quite good for this price, and the Uonuma Koshihikori rice was delicious. 3. The hot spring was a clear and refreshing bath, but there was a shallow water about 3m x 4m in front of the bathtub, which was good for small children.Elephant watering cans and baby chairs were also prepared. 3. However, the only negative point was that the air conditioner was in the back of the Japanese-Western style room, so the cold air did not reach the entire room (because it was quite large), and it was hot even at the strongest. 5. By car, it's a convenient location, just 4 or 5 minutes from the Muikamachi Interchange... However, apart from skiing, Muikamachi doesn't feel like a tourist spot at all, but you can enjoy the hotel itself slowly and leisurely, so this is it. It was a wonderful summer night.
