This is a no-frills but perfectly functional, inexpensive hotel, good for a short stay. Housekeeping was perfect. Room small but comfortable. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful, but please note that no English is spoken. The set breakfast is adequate (choice of Japanese or Western style). Easy walking distance to the train station for the Chikuhi line (Chikuzen-Maebaru Station) into Fukuoka. There is a good supermarket behind Chikuzen-Maebaru Station.

Lovely place, but a little hard to get to if you arrive past 10PM. Had to take a cab, and not close to much of interest. Staff were lovely, but after I asked for a way to travel without my luggage, in the end they accidentally recommended a station without lockers, so due to that I gave up and brought my luggage to the beach with me. Rooms were super clean and very elegant. Breakfast was also wonderful with excellent tarako and other local specialties. The hotel bath was chic and had a great view of the distant mountain.

We stayed on the first day we arrived in Fukuoka and then checked-in straight in. The room was spacious and had a large terrace facing the sea. But because it was summer, there were super many insects outside and we didn't go out. This hotel is more convenient since we will be visiting Itoshima the next day But there were no restaurants nearby, we were on a self-drive tour, so we could drive out for dinner

Two people booked a Japanese-style room, which is super big and feels like it can accommodate six people. I didn't take a photo of the room, but it is very spacious and clean. There is a washing machine with a dryer, kitchenware, wine glasses, etc., and you can have a party in the room. However, you need to make your own bed in the Japanese-style room, and there is no bed-making service. This may be a bit troublesome for people who are not used to it. The hotel does not have a restaurant and you need to book breakfast. However, the public facilities of the bar and cafe behind the check-in area are very good, and the large floor-to-ceiling windows face the sea view directly. You can buy ingredients in the canteen and cook them in your room, but cash is not accepted here. It's amazing that there are places in Japan that don't accept cash. Overall, it exceeded expectations. The only trouble is that the nearby restaurants close very early, and the steak house downstairs takes the last order at 18:30.
