"Amazing place with amazing staff! Facilities are just absolutely amazing and the food is just so authentic and tasty. I also want to say that I have tattoos so, I wasn't able to enter the public onsens but the privates and the one in my room barely made me miss it. Also, souvenir shop is great and the yukatas that they lend you are just absolutely lovely."

"Very clean, nice, spacious place to stay for a family of 6 with 2 children. Bathroom, toilet were very clean. The kitchen, living area are nice with view of the mountain. Recommend dinner, it was very delicious, worth every cent for that hotpot dinner. Location is just around 100m away from the closest train station, very pleasant to walk up hill."

"Had a great stay at Hotel Suiun in Hakone! It was my first time staying in a ryokan, and the experience was amazing. The dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the onsen was super relaxing. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Really enjoyed everything here — would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Hakone!"

"The accommodation is quite new. Each room even features a private hot spring, which makes it perfect for families and friends traveling together. I noticed that many Japanese guests also stay here for weekend holidays, so I assume it's a popular and well-regarded spot. "Check in took quite some time as there were many guests checking in at 3pm. The hotel has a western ryokan feel. It has 2 onsens which they alternate between men and women and I suggest going to both. The one on level 5 has a waterfall view. Dinner was buffet style and the variety was great. I super love the fresh Sashimi, the miso soup, the tempura and sushi, snow crab etc. Room was clean and spacious with our own outdoor Onsen bath. Would love to come back."

"I recently stayed at Hotel Clad during my trip to the Fuji area, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is truly unbeatable—perched on a hilltop with breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji, especially at sunrise and sunset. Waking up to that iconic silhouette was absolutely unforgettable. The hotel itself strikes a perfect balance between modern comfort and serene simplicity. My room was clean, well-appointed, and designed with a minimalist aesthetic that made it feel both calming and functional. The large windows made the most of the surrounding nature, and I appreciated the attention to detail in both the amenities and layout. One of the highlights was the onsen. It was such a treat to relax in the hot spring baths while gazing out at Mt. Fuji—an experience that felt both peaceful and luxurious. The onsen facilities were clean, well-maintained, and never overly crowded. The hotel is also conveniently connected to the Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it easy to enjoy a bit of shopping or grab a bite without venturing far. Despite this proximity, the hotel maintains a very tranquil atmosphere, which I really appreciated. Overall, Hotel Clad is a perfect base for anyone looking to explore the Fuji area in comfort. Whether you’re there to hike, shop, or simply take in the views, it delivers a serene, scenic, and satisfying stay."
