I recently stayed at this charming guest house and was thoroughly impressed. The Seaview room was cozy and conveniently located right across from the beach. Cleanliness was exemplary throughout the property. The owner, who manages the establishment, is exceptionally friendly and maintains the place impeccably. The decor is tasteful and thoughtfully chosen, reflecting the local character and creating a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, this guest house offers a delightful blend of comfort and location. Highly recommended.

I stayed at the George with my son for one night, and it was everything we needed. The beds were comfy, the service was efficient and very friendly, with appropriate Covid measures in place to make us feel comfortable and safe. Everything was very clean, including our shared bathroom. Due to Covid, the breakfast room was closed, so breakfast was brought to our room, and was fine - bacon bap, croissant, etc. As you would expect from a many-roomed guest house, there was a bit of TV noise from adjoining rooms, but nothing that disturbed us, and my son enjoyed the large TV screen! A short walk from the front and reasonable prices made this an excellent choice for us.

From the moment we met Karen and Jonathan we were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and serviced every day, the bed very comfortable. Facilities for making hot drinks were available in the room complete with a selection of nibbles which were replenished every day. Breakfast catered for all appetites, with a vast buffet collection of fruit, nuts, cereals, plus a hot breakfast selection cooked to order. The staff were friendly and took the trouble to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Thank you Karen and Jonathan, we will certainly be booking a stay with you if we are ever in Weymouth again.

We spent one night here and had room 8 on the second floor. We knew about the stairs and no lift from other reviews but this was no problem. We checked in via the Railway Tavern next door. The staff checked us in despite us being earlier than anticipated and showed us to our room. We were unsure about the car parking. However the helpful staff explained that for a refundable deposit of £10, you get a parking voucher to display on your dashboard which enables you to park in the Swannery car park a flat 5 minute walk from the hotel. You are able to park briefly outside the hotel in a loading bay to check in and similarly to return the parking voucher to the hotel and loads your bags on check out. We found all the staff helpful and polite. Our room was large and overlooked the front of the hotel. The shower in particular was fantastic. The breakfast offering is great - you can choose from cereals, full cooked breakfast, eggs on toast in various ways or a bacon or sausage sandwich. We went out for the evening to an amazing Thai restaurant - Monas' - and on our return, we had a couple of drinks in the Railway Tavern. We were not disturbed by any noise from the pub.

GGuest UserHaving only stayed in one other B&B I have to say that the Calm Sea Guesthouse is an absolute gem of a place. The welcome we received was absolutely lovely. Our room far exceeded my expectations, it was so comfortable I wanted to bring the bed and all its bedding home with me especially the cosy throw. The owners went above and beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay, even leaving a bottle of fizz and a birthday card and bunting for our friend. They were simply fantastic, See you next year

SSheikhI recently stayed at this charming guest house and was thoroughly impressed. The Seaview room was cozy and conveniently located right across from the beach. Cleanliness was exemplary throughout the property. The owner, who manages the establishment, is exceptionally friendly and maintains the place impeccably. The decor is tasteful and thoughtfully chosen, reflecting the local character and creating a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, this guest house offers a delightful blend of comfort and location. Highly recommended.

Very Good
We spent one night here and had room 8 on the second floor. We knew about the stairs and no lift from other reviews but this was no problem. We checked in via the Railway Tavern next door. The staff checked us in despite us being earlier than anticipated and showed us to our room. We were unsure about the car parking. However the helpful staff explained that for a refundable deposit of £10, you get a parking voucher to display on your dashboard which enables you to park in the Swannery car park a flat 5 minute walk from the hotel. You are able to park briefly outside the hotel in a loading bay to check in and similarly to return the parking voucher to the hotel and loads your bags on check out. We found all the staff helpful and polite. Our room was large and overlooked the front of the hotel. The shower in particular was fantastic. The breakfast offering is great - you can choose from cereals, full cooked breakfast, eggs on toast in various ways or a bacon or sausage sandwich. We went out for the evening to an amazing Thai restaurant - Monas' - and on our return, we had a couple of drinks in the Railway Tavern. We were not disturbed by any noise from the pub.

GGuest UserMyself and my 9 year old daughter had a twin room for one night. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly man that took our bags until we could check in at 4. They then took them to our room for us. The room was clean and all you would need, the water pressure is amazing one of the best showers I have had in a long time. Our room had hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and towels included as well as the usual tea and coffee. When we checked out at 10am I asked if it would be possible to keep our bags safe until I got the train home so we could really enjoy our last day, again the staff were amazing and said of course straight away, I asked if we had a time frame and I was told the doors get shut at 11 so any time before that, how amazing is that! I can’t say how impressed I was with the staff and our stay especially for the money. We are looking forward to coming again soon.

The room smelt a but funny as you walked in and I would not have been able to open the window without my boyfriends help.
The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest it looked like someone tried to flush a teabag down the toilet and it was stuck on the bottom.
The water pressure on the 3rd floor was absolutely rubbish, it would’ve been easier to have a wash in the sink.
We did request a room with a bath tub, which we didn’t get, but on the other hand the hotel had a little outdoor garden with sauna and hot tub which we did use for additional £20/person and we did not regret it!
Also the young man on the reception was extremely helpful.
