Lake District National Park
GGeorgiaelizeBeautiful views, lovely cafe’s and places to stay, the lakes as you drive through to Ambleside really made the journey. Even can just do as a nice day trip!
Rydal Water
1137***66The Lake District is the most beautiful place in the UK. The sparkling lakes and the vast mountains are fascinating. The poet Wordsworth once said: "I don't know where else can show such magnificent and beautiful scenery in such a narrow range and in the illusion of light and shadow.
The Bridge House
IIamisWhen I was researching the Lake District, I saw the Bridge House mentioned in many travel notes. I learned about the interesting history of the Bridge House and of course I wanted to come and see it. Take the Lake District bus to Ambleside and you will find the Bridge House. It is recommended to view the Bridge House from the side, which will give you an overall architectural appearance. The steps are very small, so be careful when going up.
Hawkshead
Ssuifeng2019The houses in the town look simple and plain, with white exterior walls that are very dazzling against the blue sky, and the blue and white colors are very harmonious. Almost all the goods sold in the shops are related to Peter Rabbit, and the image of the little rabbit is very lovable.
Wordsworth Grasmere
Ccoo***anI went to Grasmere to see Dove Cottage, the former residence of Wordsworth. I passed by it last time when I came to the Lake District but didn't go in. This time I can visit it for free with the National Art Pass, so I can't miss it. I exchanged the tickets at the ticket office, went to the small white house next to it (that is, Dove Cottage), knocked on the door a few times, and a staff member led a guided tour. The small garden next to the white house is full of sunshine. I really want to sit in it and read books all day!
National Trust - Wray Castle
崂崂山顽石Lei Castle (Wray Castle) is a Victorian neo-Gothic building on the west bank of Windermere Lake District. It is also the docking port of Windermere Lake cruise ships. The land includes part of the Windermere coastline, open year-round and is known for its selected specimen trees - Weilintong, mahogany, ginkgo, lime and various beech. We bought it because of freedom of the lake. Every pier to see. No disembark here. Shoot the exterior.
Rydal Mount and Gardens
小小妞妞爸爸Now everything here is Wordsworth's personal relics. Almost no one comes to visit, maybe it is too hidden, so tourists only know the memorial hall in the distance.
National Trust - Hill Top
TTodemmyThere are birdsong, flowers, laughter and joy all along the way. It is a very interesting attraction with not many tourists. You can stop and admire the flowers as much as you want. It is a great feeling. The grass is lush and green, and the air is fresh. It is worth it!
National Trust - Beatrix Potter Gallery and Hawkshead
陌陌染MMThis is the Bugs Bunny Center, which has short films, exhibitions and souvenirs for sale. The tour guide said this is Bugs Bunny's hometown? Bugs Bunny was created here? As we didn't have enough time, we didn't go in to listen to the explanation, but just took some photos around to keep as a souvenir.
