Le bâtiment, en pleine campagne, est assez rébarbatif au premier abord mais dès qu'on le contourne par la gauche, on est saisi par le charme des jardins et de la galerie qui dessert les chambres. Notre chambre était décorée avec un goût parfait, le même goût que l'on retrouve dans la salle à manger et à l'extérieur. Il ne manquait presque rien dans la chambre dotée d'un bureau avec plusieurs prises de courant et d'une corbeille, distincte de celle de la salle de bain. La seule lacune était l'absence de connexion à Internet dans la chambre. Le wifi n'est connectable qu'à proximité immédiate de la réception de l'hôtel. Le dîner a été servi dans la salle à manger, de même que le buffet du petit déjeuner. Quand il fait beau (ce qui n'était pas le cas), on peut aussi dîner en terrasse. Il ne manquait rien au buffet du petit déjeuner. Confitures, charcuteries et fromages étaient au rendez-vous. Ce séjour vraiment plaisant a cependant été entaché de deux incidents : 1) J'avais précisé par écrit sur le site Internet de l'hôtel, que nous désirions dîner à 2 personnes. L'information n'a pas été transmise à l'unique employée qui, en l'absence des patrons, s'occupait de tout (réception, conduite des arrivants dans la chambre, cuisine, service à table, encaissement de la facture) avec beaucoup de courage et de gentillesse. Quand nous sommes arrivés à 18 h 30, elle nous a prévenu qu'elle n'avait plus qu'une seule portion de poulet à la crème, le fleuron du menu du dîner. 2) Le disjoncteur général de l'hôtel a disjoncté à 22 h 30. Il a fallu attendre l'arrivée de l’employée le lendemain matin, pour qu'elle rétablisse l'électricité. Pendant la nuit, seuls les clients étaient restés dans l'hôtel.

The hotel is wonderful. We booked the suite with terrace, absolutely perfect. Very elegant French, Burgundy old Bourgeoisie style decor with all the modern amenities. Most of the employees speak English and a few multiple foreign languages. The “regular” rooms are as elegant and comfortable. The staff is very classy yet very friendly, they will do their best to accommodate you. We asked if we could have a sun umbrella for our terrace, they had it all set up in no time and with a smile. The hotel restaurant, “Le Cloître “ is fabulous, gourmet, a must! The spa is one of the prettiest and most enjoyable ones we have encountered. The pool is a bliss, surrounded by large bay windows, the sensory shower delightful. The spa services are excellent also. To thoroughly enjoy your experience at “Les Sept Fontaines” you must do the wine tasting, this is the best place to discover amazing Burgundy wines. We travel a lot, the “Sept Fontaines” is on top of our list. I am French, we regularly stay at lovely hotels when we visit family and friends in France, this is the best quality hotel, through and through.

the Hotel de Greuze is an establishment of style and character with the most helpful, kind staff who like their guests to be comfortable. We had a charming, well furnished deluxe double room with a spacious bathroom and separate toilet. The best thing, of course, was the requested outlook on to St Philibert's Abbey which began life as a monastery in the fourth century AD. We had the constant chimes of the clock tower as our neighbours! The walled front garden is delightful, with ivy and roses, a sanctuary where you can sit and have coffee in the morning or a glass of Burgundy wine in the evening, or any time of day!. The abbey square at the back of the hotel was designated pedestrian only during our stay so that the little cafés and shops were peaceful places to visit. The staff went out of their way to arrange medical attention for my husband who'd suffered an accident shortly before our arrival. We unreservedly recommend the Hotel de Greuze as the place to stay in Tournus. Don't neglect to stroll through the Saturday local produce market in the old town.

Not memorable, not bad. Just OK. The best thing about the hotel is its location, less then 5 minutes from the moterway, but very quiet. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke good English. But why did she insist we had to tell her what time we were coming down for breakfast? The room was very small, but we'll maintained and clean. Our knee's touched the wall when sitting on the loo. It was also dated with its flock wallpaper.  They only gave us towels for one, and had to ask for more. The shower was not thermaly controlled, so you could easily scald yourself if not carful. It was also powerful. Before booking I emailed them in English asking if they had lifts to the rooms. The replay I received back was in French. Very strange. Google translate told me they had no lift but they had rooms on the ground floor. We had a room on the ground floor which is what we asked for.
