I was going to the hotel once and I was decuped by the room...I had also posted a positive notice. I returned bcp later because of lack of place elsewhere and finally the room very well. After all, I returned there several times qd I walk through angle, the rooms are large and the team is pleasant. The only less is the very rare room(s) which are less well but which have been renovated since and the vineyards at the small dej. For the rest, zero concern and price quality ratio correct.

The room was very quiet and spacious.
Very practical for USB captures when you forget to take your charger (which was my case 🤭)
There are drinks and small snacks and a microwave, which is also practical.
2 small bemols :
- I had booked a room with 2 double beds and every count made there was 1 double bed, 1 mezzanine bed and 1 single bed.
- The shower apple was not a little sticky to stay in the middle of the shower.
In short, good stay in the whole, this will not prevent me from returning.

We are sleeping in this hotel when we go down south west. The hotel is always sympathetic. We book a large room located in the extent of the building. The price supplement is not important and the surface is more pleasant. The room is very clean. The shower is large and the bed is very comfortable. Breakfast is well provided. The price-quality ratio is very good.

GGuest UserGreat welcome from a very knowledgeable host, combined with a masterclass cognac session.. Unfortunate not to get a room with the great views of the vineyards and unsure why this was the case as there appeared to be only one other couple staying. Our room was spacious and comfortable, although the stock photo and descriptions on the web site could lead to disappointment (no toiletries and no in room music/hifi) although this didn't affect our 1 night stay. Also unsure where the soft drink mini bar was located as indicated on the website. Website also needs to be updated as it has confusing information with regards what is included in the dinner option. For example Dinner within the website states: ”Dinner is served every day by reservation Adult The set menu includes 1 aperitif (choice between liquor of cognacs, cognac, pineau...) 3 dishes, local wine, coffee.” This is not the case. drinks are not included, and although it is mentioned on the tariff page it could missed and easily lead to disappointment and embarrassment at check out. The home cooked (with local ingredients) dinner in a stunning outside setting was lovely and tasty and knowledgeable conversation with Christine (who has fluent English) flowed as easy as the wine. Breakfast was a little disappointing during our stay and did not match reviews that we had previously read. It included a small breakfast roll, two confitures and butter. Fromage blanc (similar to yoghurt) and banana ( fruit option), although the Broyé du Poitou made up for a lack of croissants or pain au chocolate on offer during our stay. In summary, we enjoyed our day/evening combined with a cognac masterclass and tasting given by Christine's very knowledgeable husband. We would certainly consider returning if in the area again.

GGuest UserGood location for visiting Cognac, Angoulême and environs. The hotel has views to the Charente river and beyond. You can visit the wild ”jardin respectueux” in front and reach the river on foot for pleasant promenades. The outdoor pool isn't heated, which would make it pleasant in the hotter months. In the price of the room, we were able to reserve an hour-long slot per day for the little spa with its hammam, sauna and jacuzzi. It could do with a revamp, as could the rooms, but the communal areas seem to have been renovated more recently. The set dinner menu at 33€ was excellent and the service from Thomas and his team was very good. The buffet breakfast was copious and was made up of a great deal of local, organic produce. High five for the scrambled eggs, which must have been made the traditional way over a bain-marie.

TTravel05300685607I stayed for a few nights at IBIS Styles Hotel in Cognac while on business in early December, which to me was a fairly low season. My company got a rate of 125 Euro/night. At that price I was expecting a decent mid range hotel based on staying at other Hotels near Cognac and by reading on the IBIS website that the IBIS Styles is a step up from IBIS Budget brand and this was my first experience with the IBIS brand at all. Front desk staff are extremely friendly and engaging. I got a free room upgrade with my Accor status. The room itself was a bit of a let down. Mostly because of the dark decor (back wall behind bed painted black and dark carpet and one small window) This is definitely is a budget hotel solely based on room features and If you can get a room at this hotel at a good price, it could be a good option. Room features that weren't there No - work desk No - work chair. Instead a hard plastic cheap chair you see on a patio No - USB outlets No - Kettle, coffee or tea No - Mini-fridge No - Ironing board, or iron, although the web site mentions one No - Additional amenities in the bathroom, just soap No - Streaming features available on the TV Limited power outlets - One by the bed and one at the far corner by the window that was too far away to be useful An odd little plastic stool that was too small to be of use in any way The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were very small and square and had a weird textured pillow-case on them that made them look at feel like couch pillows. The good aspects of the room - The heating system worked well - It seemed fairly sound proof - It was very clean - The bed was comfortable - The hot water worked well I also saw on the IBIS website in-room newspaper and free water bottle mentioned, but I did not see them. The breakfast was just OK. The chairs in the breakfast room are all hard plastic. Parking is plentiful and free.

GGuest UserA typical, old-style French hotel but with quirky decor in the public places. It has a fabulous location right at the top of Angoulême, at the beating heart of the eating and drinking quarter. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Although there is parking at the hotel, there are not many spaces and it is hard to find. There are other carparks very close by at similar prices. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars was that the bathroom was so dimly lit that I found it hard to shave.
