GGuest UserWe stayed here during the 'wine fight' festival and wanted somewhere central so most things would be in walking distance. Given a few comments about noise we were slightly trepidatious about how things would be in the middle of a huge event for the town. We drove to Haro and followed the instructions for parking in a designated space in one of the side streets behind the hotel - this was a little challenging when trying to follow the satnav, as some streets were already blocked off for the festival, but we eventually found it and parked up. The hotel was only a couple of minutes' walk away. Arriving at the hotel we got to reception only to find it was locked (although the front door to the lobby was open). I rang the duty manager who was already on his way to meet us. Very quick and friendly check-in, and we got to our room. Thankfully we were at the back of the hotel (the view from a forward facing room over the square would have been good on other occasions, but would be too noisy during the festival). The room was large, well equipped and (importantly) triple-glazed, so there was very little noise coming from the bands playing outside. Aircon worked well, and there was plenty of hanging space and a huge bathroom. The bed was also comfy. Given the hotel doesn't have a restaurant there isn't much else to comment on, but we found this a great location with friendly staff and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to other travellers who are looking for a budget-friendly central location.

SShirleyF937We knew about the cafe and restaurant, but were not aware that the bar was not open. We found the disused bar behind a screen. As it was raining, it would have been nice to be able get a hot drink at the hotel, rather than having to venture out. As they offer hot breakfasts, I don't understand why this can not be done.

GGuest UserWe were looking for a centrally located hotel within walking distance of the train station for our 3 night stay. The rooms were comfortable with a good choice of Breakfast Buffet each morning. We were initially allocated a twin bedded room which was changed as soon as we requested a double. We were able to walk to all the places of interest in the City on our list including the bus station for a trip to La Guardia. Just around the corner from the hotel is also an urban winery Bodega Arizcuren - definitely worth a visit. Our only disappoin**ent was that on our morning of departure we had to check out before Breakfast started to catch an 0730 train to Madrid. We were told at Reception that a picnic breakfast was not available and they had no available kettle for our room - there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room - which meant an early start with no breakfast, not even a hot drink. As they offer a Buffet Breakfast it would have been very easy for them to place some pastries and fruit in a bag with a bottle of water for our departure.
