Looking back, I said that I encountered a disturbing but helpless thing on the first night of staying at the hotel. The four alcoholics in the next room drank until four in the morning, and finally ended the war without cigarette sales at the expense of one of the wine fairies. Various ** in the mats are endless, sometimes dancing, drums and songs, so not lively, a party of northern Wei Shengshi weather. It’s a pity that we’re suffering from our next-door neighbor. The itinerary that could be completed for two nights was broken by these four great immortals. We stayed for another night, but the attitude of the hotel is still worthy of recognition. The front desk changed our room in the middle of the night and gave us a free breakfast coupon. The money was saved, and Datong's special breakfast was also a perfect missed. Anyway, the hotel is still a very good hotel, and the software and hardware are in place.

There are fruits and snacks in the room every day. It is better to put the yogurt in the refrigerator.
The breakfast is rich in variety and basically has everything. We are rushing to travel every day. Although breakfast starts at 7:00, we can basically eat it at 6:45.

JJohnI stayed one night at the hotel. I was visiting Datong. I arrived early and asked front desk if I could leave my suitcase whilst I did some sightseeing. The front desk staff told me I could check into my room. The young lady who assisted me spoke some English. She also helped me with booking tickets to visit the Yungang Grottes.
My room rate included breakfast which had a wide choice of items.
The room I had (1212) was spotlessly clean and had a view towards the old walls.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a tourist visit.

JJamesHarrisI actually stayed here for three nights, in two different rooms. Both the rooms were very spacious and light, which I appreciated. The room wasn’t spotlessly clean but definitely satisfactory for the price paid. The biggest problem for me was with the bathroom. In the first bathroom, the smell of smoke seemed to be coming through the vent from another room, and in both bathrooms the shower would benefit from hotter water and better water pressure. Despite this, the manager and the sister who worked on the reception were both very friendly and helpful. The manager let me use her phone number for my food delivery(so she could speak to and direct the driver) and even drove me to the hospital to take a COVID test on my last night. They couldn’t have done more to help me and I really appreciated it. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Datong.

The breakfast room was unfortunately very crowded and noisy. As result, the breakfast was a bit stressful and the service could not refill the breakfast buffet in time.

GGuest UserThis hotel is really really beautiful - maybe even more than the photos show. Even though the style is traditional, everything inside the room is new, and there's even an elevator to take up bags. The location is amazing too, inside the old city wall, and I walked everywhere except the out of town attractions I visited. I think anywhere you stay in Datong you might have some communication challenges if you don't speak Chinese, but the owner here was very helpful once I put wechat on my phone to be able to talk with translation help, and he was able to arrange a last minute taxi out to the hanging temple after I had given up trying to get one. However, even though he was very helpful, he wasn't always around, and checking in was a bit difficult because there was nobody at the desk. I think this is only a problem if you don't speak Chinese though.
Unfortunately, the wifi didn't always reach to my room on the 3rd floor well, and I could only get a trickle of hot water out of the shower. Overall though, I was super happy with this place and would recommend it!

Environment: A hotel hidden in a residential area is very cost-effective, let’s not talk about the environment. If you want a high-end environment, then go for a 5-star hotel or above, but it may not be more comfortable (in my opinion).
The hotel is suitable for people who personally think that the best choice for general business travelers and couples is super cost-effective! Or those who travel in groups, those with limited travel expenses, and ordinary people!

VVVyhTTshWe enjoyed our three nights stay in this hotel. Quiet and clean except for some not so pleasant smell from the bathroom. The staff are very friendly, helpful and responsive. This includes the free pickup transport driver, the front desk staff and the janitors as well. The breakfast provided by the hotel was so delicious and nutritious, too. We enjoyed the three mornings breakfast with different menu for three consecutive days. The chef and his wife were also very cheerful to see us enjoy their cooking. 👍👍👍👍👍
This hotel is located near to Datong South Railway Station. If you are using the public bus, there are five buses passing through :#68,#66,#61,#31,#14.
Bus #68 & #66 also go to the city. The traveling time from the hotel to the city by public bus is about ½ an hour, ticket price is 2 Yuan each. It's only 20mins by taxi, 15-20 Yuan.

The only attraction in this tour that walked 2 kilometers on the wrong road was the ancient city. At present, the charging situation of the ancient city on the wall must be introduced in detail with the friends who go later to avoid everyone taking more wrong roads. The ancient city east and south gates charge 30 yuan for the city, because there is a light show; the ancient city west (Qingyuan Gate) and the north gate are free. There are multiple doors in each direction of the ancient city, and the navigation must choose the right location. I thought that only Donghe South Gate could charge for the wall, and after I arrived at the East Gate, I saw the notice that Xihe North Gate was free. Of course, I had to choose free city access. Gaode navigation searched the west gate of the ancient city and jumped out of the west gate of Yongtai. I followed the navigation. After I arrived, I found that it was the south gate. I also asked about the nearby special police car, the special police was very impatient to tell me that this direction is south, continue to go along the city wall is the west gate. I just walked, because there is no bus line between the two doors, there is no shared bicycle in the ancient city, the taxi is too close, and I walked 1.4 kilometers. I wasted my physical strength walking along the city wall. I finally got tired after climbing the city wall and couldn't walk anymore. There is a bicycle rental in the city, and the charging standard is unified for 90 minutes and 40 yuan without bargaining. I went to the wall at 7:30 in the evening. The southeast side was closed because of the light show and could not pass. Considering that it takes only half an hour to ride a bicycle, 40 yuan is not worth it, and it is too far to go to the north gate. It can only be up and down the west gate. There is no regret for turning around the city wall. I hope that later friends will see this article and plan in advance, and I wish you a pleasant journey.

From the Yuyou Pavilion to the top of the mountain, the scenery of the mountain itself is not very good, there are no shade trees. Often just to climb to the top, and then queue for half an hour to take pictures. The only public toilet in the scenic spot with water is on the left hand of Chonglingmen, about 20 meters down.
