Close to the train station. Although I got an upgrade to a double room, it was small (the table in front of the bed takes a lot of space). The bathroom was big and clean but outdated. The balcony was nice but not really needed in winter. Everyone can enter the ski room and the individual locker cannot be locked. Perfect for thieves.

The front desk was very welcoming and there was someone there at midnight. The breakfast was very good. The view from the balcony was nice. It was very beautiful when the weather was good. Everything is expensive in Switzerland. Compared to the price, the room was average.

I am very satisfied with the fact that I can see the Matterhorn from the balcony. The front desk was very considerate and sent it to the room. It also introduced various instructions in detail. Don’t think that the mountain view room is just for seeing the Matterhorn. The town itself is surrounded by mountains. It is 10 minutes away from the train station. I saw the church passing the cemetery. As a result, I originally wanted to see the illuminated town at night, but I didn’t dare to go. , there are no slippers and no water, and the breakfast is very average. If you want to see the sunshine, it is at the entrance of Jinshan Mountain. The hygiene is good, and it is okay to stay for one night.

This hotel is too fond of it! The decoration of the hotel is very beautiful and the room can see the snowy mountains! The service staff was very good at night. It was like waiting for us to call out my name. I also prepared wine and tea as a welcome drink. Breakfast is delicious, although there are not many types, but the whole environment will make you enjoy it. I will book it next time and ask the front desk to tell you all kinds of information. The store that rents ski clothes downstairs will also give you a 10% discount.

Perfect south facing location overlooking the town of Zermatt with unparalleled views of the Matterhorn. In the winter you have sunshine on the balconies up to 4 pm. For views and sunshine this definitely the best area of Zermatt. It’s only a few meters away from the official Zermatt viewpoint, which should tell you all you need to know. The service has been great and all the staff are super attentive all the way. Breakfast with local delicacies is great as well as the sauna and steam bath facilities. The taxi pick up service to the hotel from the train station makes for a very smooth arrival. The same applies when you are leaving. Zermatt is car free so you have to walk a few mins into town to go to a restaurant or visit shops but we actually enjoyed those little walks. In the winter you can ski in but you have to know exactly where to leave the piste. Once you know it it’s easy. All of the premises feel well put together and solid, good materials. We can really recommend this place!

Great hotel with great friendly staff. Was here with 40+ people and it was an amazing experience. Wait staff at breakfast and dinners were just wonderful, so friendly. Front desk people were knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend Albana Real hotel for anyone. Breakfast food was great and we had three meals here, one in each of three different specialities. Location was also very good, but in Zurmatt no location is poor

The Matterhornlodge is located about a 5-10 min walk from the Zermatt station. We arrived at about 1pm and were informed that check-in was only at 2pm so we went for lunch and returned at around 2.30pm. We were greeted by Ruth, the proprietress of the hotel, who gave us a comprehensive briefing of the house rules and policies. Ruth was very warm, friendly, and charming; she was very guest-focused and was happy to find out more about where we were from and what we planned to do. Ruth even gave us recommendations for Bern when we told her we were going there next. Although the hotel is stated to be 4 stars, we were very impressed by the room and the amenities. The bathroom came with a bidet and the toiletries provided were of good quality. The room was also very spacious with enough room to open up 2 luggage bags. The towels and robes were thick, warm, and fluffy. The breakfast provided in the morning was also quite good with a decent selection of breads, cold cuts, cheese, and eggs. At checkout, Ruth also gave us a complimentary ride to the train station in her electric vehicle. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Matterhornlodge and we were very impressed by Ruth’s hospitality.

Beyond Expectations. The Phone-call for Shuttle service Back and Forth pick up from the Station was quick precise and done with a smile by the porters,the receptionist in the check in was so fast,informative,professional and welcoming aswell as the others staff of the whole hotel. we would highly recommend the place to others, specially the room we got from the receptionist that is 803, The room itself was so huge with some free coffes and tea and that the Comfort room downstairs was so huge it literally was double the size of my other hotel rooms in Switzerland, For this 2023 trip. The amenities is awesome specially after a long hike on the hills and you only wanted to relax your body Then The spa and pool Are there for you. The breakfast was cool and have different varieties that you may choose from, for cold or warm food. and a minor adjustment maybe in arrangement of the food and making sure that the expose area around the food plates is always cleaned and maintained for the next batch of breakfast eater.. I’ll post some videos or picture when i get my computer up and running. But Zermatt budget rooms.. see ya in the future..

It is still a bit far from Zermatt Railway Station, especially when it snows on the road, I will give up the box and walk to the hotel, because I don't know where to go when I go to the half of the navigation, and I will take a taxi directly to the train station!
