Stayed here for just 1 night for a family occasion. On 1st arriving we were greeted by a wonderful young man (didn't catch his name) with a massive smile & very welcoming manner, who instantly informed us that our room had been upgraded for free!! Result! We were given all info regarding dinner times/breakfast etc & how to use the night entrance (a brilliant idea) if we were to arrive back late. The room (suite) we were led to was absolutely stunning. Very spacious, spotlessly clean & interior design to die for. Everything was so well thought out & if we'd stayed in a Plush hotel in London we wouldn't have had a nicer room I'm sure. Another family member also stayed the night & their room was just as lovely although not quite as big. We headed off out & arrived back later for a couple of drinks in the bar which were once again served by delightful staff with great humour & banter! Breakfast was superb, hearty, healthy & delicious & the whole vibe of the beautiful old building was a total delight to relax in. Most of all though, it was the staff who are the jewel in their crown. Nothing was too much trouble & should we ever be in the area again, we would jump at the chance of staying at this beautiful little gem again. I've always worked in Front of House/ Customer service as thats my passion & very much a dying art in todays society Im afraid to say, but The Swan puts its customers front & centre & practices customer service at it's finest. You could teach some of the big companies a thing or two. We'll done one & all!
