The Swan Inn

Karen is superb .... not to menion the food! The staff at this establishment are all absolutely fabulous. All are extremely hardworking yet always maintain a good attitude when dealing with each and every customer. On to the food. First class just about sums it up .... The steak was cooked to perfection, the ribs tender and tasty and all the other accompaniments were equally just as delicious. Puddings too were rather divine! Our first time visit to this pub/hotel after a recommendation from other family members. ALL of us would not hesitate to come back. Thank you to Karen and the Team. Appreciated.

Stayed here for just 1 night for a family occasion. On 1st arriving we were greeted by a wonderful young man (didn't catch his name) with a massive smile & very welcoming manner, who instantly informed us that our room had been upgraded for free!! Result! We were given all info regarding dinner times/breakfast etc & how to use the night entrance (a brilliant idea) if we were to arrive back late. The room (suite) we were led to was absolutely stunning. Very spacious, spotlessly clean & interior design to die for. Everything was so well thought out & if we'd stayed in a Plush hotel in London we wouldn't have had a nicer room I'm sure. Another family member also stayed the night & their room was just as lovely although not quite as big. We headed off out & arrived back later for a couple of drinks in the bar which were once again served by delightful staff with great humour & banter! Breakfast was superb, hearty, healthy & delicious & the whole vibe of the beautiful old building was a total delight to relax in. Most of all though, it was the staff who are the jewel in their crown. Nothing was too much trouble & should we ever be in the area again, we would jump at the chance of staying at this beautiful little gem again. I've always worked in Front of House/ Customer service as thats my passion & very much a dying art in todays society Im afraid to say, but The Swan puts its customers front & centre & practices customer service at it's finest. You could teach some of the big companies a thing or two. We'll done one & all!

Thank you to Didi the chef who prepared, and cooked our second meal at the swan. He certainly knows how to prepare, cook and rest a fillet steak we have been back twice as it was absolutely first class. The setting is lovely and the staff are attentive but not intrusive, and always not far away. Keep up the good work and thank you Chef.(Didi)

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Staff were exceptional, rooms beautiful, beds super comfortable, food glorious and top quality. We went for a family wedding near by and the location was perfect. The village is picture perfect and the Swan Inn just adds to this. Sorry travellers but my only issue is that I think they need to increase their prices for the extremely high level of service you get.

We stayed for 1 night (3 Adults) in the family room at a very reasonable price with a delicious breakfast included, the room was quite spacious with tea/coffee facilities and AC, the staff were extremely friendly and the evening meal was exceptional ! It’s a beautiful building and a lovely village, would definitely stay again, highly recommended

The pub is lovely inside although the music is unnecessary. The staff were charming and very helpful. However the place was almost empty and yet the kitchen was unable to serve three covers at the same time. One person's food got cold waiting for the other two meals to arrive. Understandable if the restaurant was busy and the chef was overstretched but it wasn't and neither was he. The food was fine once it arrived. The pub doesn't stock J2O, only Frobishers, which is tasteless.
