Being a part of Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort, the hotel is one of Emperor Qianlong's 36 scenic spots of Chengde (#6). The hotel itself has a lot of historical value, not only the building but the garden areas. The tree in the middle of the compound is 300 years old and has been here since the beginning. Pro: location is one of the best if you're looking to visit Chengde Imperial Mountain Resort (500m away from the front gate), the rooms & beds are clean and comfortable. Con: one downside is that the breakfast buffet area, the facilities are dated and the breakfast options are geared towards more Chinese style breakfast, no Western continental breakfast here so come prepared.

A well-designed and spacious room, well-appointed, modern, great bed - special mention for the toilet, spacious and thoughtfully designed. The overall property is good and well maintained, breakfast spread is pretty good with good variety and quality of food. As chengde is not a big city, it was easy and cheap to get cabs to go everywhere.

My experience was overall good, but the bathroom of the room I booked for the first night (single, queen bed) was so stinky at night that I could not bear it. I called the concierge, and the maid came to clean the bathroom (they were very fast= good service) but the problem is in the pipes, not in the cleanliness, (it was very clean) so spraying a bit of air freshener won't solve the problem. I changed rooms the following night. Also, it was quite noisy at night and in the early morning, they should keep an eye on noisy guests. Last thing, but not less important, people were smoking inside the hotel corridors and it was stinky. The management should try to enforce the rules of non-smoking. I understand that know nobody in the hotel wants to call on the smoking clients, but not enforcing the law results in other clients being unhappy too. All in all, I would probably stay there again.

The stay was ok. The pros were the very kind women at the front desk. The location is great. The shower was good with a lot of hot water. When I had a specific complaint about a room, I got another room instantly. There were several cons though. The whole hotel smelled of smoked and perfume that tried to cover the smoke smell. The cleaning standard does not live up to our standards. There were several hairs from the previous guests. The floor was dusty in corners and under the bed. The river couldn’t be seen well due to dirty windows. The bed was very hard. The breakfast is McDonalds, we were hoping to get traditional Chinese breakfast.

A very satisfying trip! Everyone in the store was very warm and thoughtful. They first called and then greeted me at the door! The location of the hotel is great. It is next to the exit of the Mountain Resort and more than 200 meters away from Lizheng Gate. The Jinlong Shopping Center is at the door. It is very convenient to take a taxi and eat. I have to say that eating in Chengde is really cheap. It is a very unique courtyard. I live in the east wing of the second courtyard. It is really beautiful. I am traveling with the elderly, and the elderly are very happy. This is a good choice!

The front desk took the initiative to call us before we checked in and arranged an adjacent room for us and our parents near the elevator, which was very considerate. 3. Although breakfast is a buffet, the waiters are very diligent and take the initiative to help guests get food and tableware. They are not idle for a moment. The hotel is in a very good location, very close to the Summer Resort. There is a large shopping mall on the front street where you can buy things and eat. There is also a small night market at the door at night. The back street leads directly to the Summer Resort, which is within walking distance. There are also many small shops around, and there are rich dining options. The hotel is also very clean and sanitary, and the service is very good. I will come again if I have the chance~

The hotel upgraded me to a superior king-size bed room for free, which was very satisfying. They also gave me two bottles of drinks for free, one bottle of Coke and one bottle of Sprite. It was raining in Chengde that day, and they lent me an umbrella, which was very nice. The service of Xuanxuan and Mingming at the front desk was also very good. I was very satisfied.

An old four-star standard hotel. As soon as you enter the door, you feel like you have returned to the 80s and 90s. The furnishings are a bit old and have not kept up with the times, but the standards are still there. The suites are very good and meet the needs of a large family. There is also a bathtub to meet the children's desire to take a bath, but there is a lack of disposable bath bags; the hotel breakfast is still OK, very rich and tastes good. The hotel is in a superior location, on the banks of the Wulie River, not far from Chengde's famous attractions, and it is very convenient to take a taxi. Chengde's service industry is excellent, and the hotel service is very enthusiastic, especially 10.11. I will recommend this hotel to my friends
