The hotel is generally clean and functional but fairly soulless. We found the room well equipped but extremely cold which required attention from staff to resolve as the controls were not responsive . The carpet was stained but overall the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The room was not serviced on the second day, the notice says that you should request at reception which we had done, by 5pm nothing had been done. So no clean towels, bed not made, coffee and milks not replaced, so down again to reception to complain. I can’t understand why in a premier plus room which is sold at premium price why the room is not automatically serviced, otherwise surely a discount should be given, what’s the point of staying in a hotel if you have to service your own room. On the second night we came back to have something to eat, their special menu advertised in the lift was on the cards. Oh sorry no food available as we don’t have a chef tonight, so we had to wait until the next morning for breakfast. We won’t be hurrying back!
