"I recently stayed at the Ibis Cognac Hotel, and my overall experience was very satisfying. The hotel is ideally located near the city center, making it convenient to explore the main attractions of Cognac. Although the room was small, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. The breakfast offered a wide variety, especially the fresh local bread and coffee, which made for a great start to the day. Overall, Ibis Cognac is a great value option for both business and leisure travelers."

"We booked Hotel Ligaro in an emergency after being badly let down by other accommodation. The proprietor went out of her way to help us. The hotel is very nicely decorated the beds are super comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The has a chic and tasteful feel. As a result we had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and return. Hotel Ligaro is an asset to Jarnac."

"This is a really hard review to write because the actual hotel, the breakfast and most of the staff were excellent. The room was lovely and air conditioned which was a god send in the 30° plus heat. It was great value for money. I would have given it 5 out of 5 but for one person and that was the horrid, intimidating night porter. I know people often say that French people can be dismissive if you attempt to speak in French but I've never really found this and we've holidayed in France a great deal as my husband is fluent. On our first night at the hotel we didn't have any water in our room so after getting in from meeting friends for dinner and drinks I went downstairs to ask for some water. I asked in French and I know it's not perfect but I was going to give it a go but the rudeness I was greeted with was on another level. Not only was he rude but he was also intimidating and obviously quite liked the power of no one else being around, it being late at night and he obviously felt very much in control of the situation. He told me my French was appalling and that I shouldn't even try to speak to him because it was hideous to him. I was pretty shocked but asked for water in English and he was really annoyed and complaining that he had to go and get it for me. He did get it because I wasn't going to back down but the whole thing was really upsetting. Interestingly I was there for a wedding being held near by and my husband told the mother of the bride who said she'd had exactly the same experience from presumably the same man when she had stayed there for one night before going on to the wedding venue. She had tried to ask about the hotel being locked as her son was arriving late due to train cancellation. She is a French speaker so was horrified to be told that her French was awful and she shouldn't bother and to her questions not really being answered. I wonder if this nasty person would have done the same if we'd been men? I very much doubt it. Hotel Heritage you have a lovely hotel, your front of house day staff could not be more helpful, your breakfast was incredible and your rooms were lovely but what are you going to do about this really vile person who is discrediting your establishment? You have a duty of care to your customers not to be intimidated or humiliated by your staff. "

"Depois de um Longo passeio por um belo país, finalmente chegámos ao nosso destino, recebemos UMA boa viagem de alguém que nos congratulou. O hospedeiro francês ajudou-nos com a bagagem e mostrou-nos para o nosso quarto no primeiro andar, que era grande com bela e típica decoração francesa. ... e eu realmente faço a diferença, tudo era tão limpo e super tedio ... com atenção a todos os detalhes em cada turno!! A sala estava bonita, a cama estava confortável, a casa de banho estava limpa e agradável, a Duche estava sob pressão fantástica, a mesa do pequeno-almoço estava Muito atenta e o pequeno-almoço estava Muito agradável. Um sumo de laranja, um par de bolos pequenos com fruta, baguette cheia em um pão de madeira longo, 3 tipos de jam, um prato de manteiga mais bonito, um basquete com croissants e dor au chocolate ... Qual mais você poderia pedir!! Fabuloso EM todos OS sentidos Da palavra.Não posso culpar esta maravilhosa pequena localização..Então se você estiver Na área, faça um ponto de ficar - você ficará feliz - Como nós!!Obrigado novamente por fazer a nossa estadia com você tão bonita. Continue a ser um êxito!
