Remisens Hotel Albatros-All Inclusive

酒店不在城區，酒店蠻大的，含早晚餐都不錯。離海邊很近，旁邊小鎮可以走走，晚霞很漂亮，性價比還是不錯的。

Have just come back from a two-week stay and some of the negative reviews bear no resemblance to the same hotel I stayed at. We had a nice comfortable room, very clean, cool, and quiet, great shower and blackout curtains to keep the room dark. The hotel is spotless, toilets communal areas and pool areas are all very clean, and the Dining areas and bars are also very clean. The food is good I have been to many hotels as I go away several times a year and had no issues with the quality of food at this hotel. I was all-inclusive, breakfast, lunch and dinner never failed to find something nice to eat. Yes it can get repetitive and the dining area has a canteen feel but it’s perfectly acceptable. There are some strange food combinations but must take into consideration the diversity of guests. We ate out on a few occasions for a change of scenery If you are expecting five-star resort standards I think people need to reign in their expectations. This is probably a 3-star hotel. The pool area is clean and is cleaned down every night. I work in hydrotherapy pools in my job role and have no issues with using this pool. Plenty of outside showers for guests to use before entering the pool which unfortunately most guests didn't use. This is why a pool gets dirty due to poor personal hygiene. Staff work hard and can be straight to the point but polite which I like, none of this insincere have a nice day crap which you can get, as they aren't not constantly relying on tips. There are a few issues. We were all incisive, and we only paid a small amount to upgrade. However, the drinks were awful and my only major complaint. They were at best palatable beer okay at worst undrinkable, gin and tonic, particularly bad, we went to bars opposite the hotel for a drink as I would rather pay for something I enjoy. All-inclusive was worth it for us just to get a few lunches, coffees also okay, but if you like a drink don’t bother. Another issue was the loungers if you don’t get down early the loungers are gone. Not a problem unique to this hotel but still annoying. Especially when people come down at lunchtime having reserved loungers at 7.30 am 😠 Entertainment was low-key, again which suits me but not everyone. The hotel is also not great with access for people with mobility issues and no staff on hand to carry suitcases. Used the gym on a few occasions it's old school but served a purpose for me. The beach is nearby for a nice swim and Cavtat town is a leisurely 15 minaway with lots of nice restaurants and a few bars. Sunsets at the hotel are beautiful. Shuttle boats nearby for trips. In summary, a very enjoyable stay, the hotel was definitely not 4 star but I had a very pleasant time and would book again. Ignore negative reviews and go with a mind and enjoy yourself you are on holiday after all.

My partner treated us to 4 days here on Breakfast and dinner package. We had an absolutely incredible time. The hotel is lovely and the right mix of ages. The food was great and catered to my partners food requirements (gluten free) It was a shout walk to Cavtat and just the whole area was a vibe. Would definitely come again

Couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the hotel room, but the hotel itself needs more entertainment and a better selection of all inclusive food and drinks. There was absolutely no music at all, not even background music in the bar! Such a shame as it would be a great hotel with a bit of tlc, expected more from a 4*

As a family of 5 adults we have just spent a lovely week here, all inclusive. There were many good points and only a few weak points. Firstly we were met at reception by Denis who always tried to please. He and his very helpful colleague even managed to find a wheelchair for one of our party and we were extremely grateful for this. The hotel is large but very clean and our rooms were kept immaculate by the cleaning staff. The hotel has beautiful views, the sunsets are amazing and the walk to Cavtat is a must along with a boat ride to Dubrovnik. Again, the dining area was kept clean and the food choices were good most days even for vegetarians in our party. Big thanks to the chef who cooked breakfast and lunch every day who despite the heat, always managed a smile. Elizabeta, the waitress always smiled too. It makes such a difference to us when staff smile (bar staff take note!) Usually we are not a family to be involved in the entertainment of a hotel but Roman and the rest of the team were so kind that we found ourselves doing all sorts of various activities that as a family we would never usually consider. In particular the team went above and beyond to make sure our son in a wheelchair was included. We had only 2 areas that we felt could be improved, one of which we have seen other people mention. The lifts. These are maintained by another company, not local, so when they go wrong it takes time to fix. My family had to lug 3 heavy suitcases down from the third floor when they were out of action! Luckily our wheelchair bound son was already on the ground floor as the previous night he had to walk down one flight! The dining hall certainly has room for a small lift solely for people with disabilities but there is none. Thankfully we always used the terrace entrance where there were no stairs. Security. At the weekend the pool became very busy and this was because families not staying at the hotel, would come off the beach and use the pool and toilets unchallenged. During the week, after school time, security was good chasing school kids who tried to sneak in. This was appreciated as these kids seemed to care little for the holiday makers, shouting and splashing everywhere. To summarise we had a great time overall and would like to thank all the staff who helped us with our stay. We booked directly with the hotel who were very efficient and suggest to others if you are using holiday companies, check before you book with them. Our holiday was much cheaper by booking flights, hotel and taxi separately than by using well known holiday companies! Once again, thank you for a great holiday and we would love to return one day soon!

Do not book this hotel and expect any frills, what you will get is a clean property with hard working restaurant staff and attentive reception staff. The rooms are fine, good size, clean and with a balcony. Now this is the strange part about accessing your room, if your placed in block B you will have to carry your luggage up a short set of stairs before accessing the lift, never in any other hotel have we seen this and on more than one occasion we had to help some guests carry the luggage up or down for them as there are no staff on hand to do so. Also, we were walking around the corridors in the dark for the first 2 nights, until I found a light switch to turn on the corridor lights, bizarre. As mentioned, we were in block B a superior sea view room, we had a good view of the mountains and the sea to our left-hand side from the rather small (but functioning) balcony, it had 2 good chairs and a large table with the sun in the morning (block A has sun all afternoon) not bad. We paid a small extra charge for all inclusive, now this is not like any other A I hotel, you will not get a bottle of wine with dinner, nor will you receive any sort of premium drinks. Drinks are self-service in the restaurant, red, white and rose wine on tap, the rose being the better of the bunch, lager on tap, a local brand which after a few mouthfuls became bearable. Soft drinks, coke, orange etc on pump too, not good at all, tastes a little flat mostly. Drinks in the bar are served (if you can find the barman in the afternoon) for you and are the same as in the restaurant, not a lot of cocktail choices and very weak as they were pre-made, unless you pay for them. Also, if you like non-alcoholic lager in bottles it is not part of the A I package. All drinks are payable after 11pm which we found strange, cash or card, you cannot have drinks put onto your room key, strange too. Food. If you like burnt bacon ends and what looks like a chilli con carne masquerading as baked beans you will enjoy the breakfasts, sausages not much better, good scrambled/fried eggs and salads. Lunch and dinner much better, although we had to use the microwave twice to heat the food. pool bar adequate, snacks poor as well as the cakes. location good, nice walk to Cavtat, few bars across the road. All in all, if the price was good, we would stay again but ask for block A.

We have just returned from Hotel Albatros and it was amazing. The staff were extremely helpful especially Anton who helped all he could when my brother was taken ill. Everywhere is spotless, For all inclusive the food is the best we have had. You have a choice of the pool or the beach. The boat bus is a short walk away to visit Dubrovnik which is lively especially in the evening.

This has to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in! We paid for AI but ate out 5 days of the 7. The food was tasteless and just warm, with the same food dished up every mealtime. The drinks were no better. The one's included in AI were disgusting and anything not on the AI list was more expensive than the local bar. There was usually only one bar person on in the early evening. The rooms are clean, but ours was located on a staircase where we were regularly disturbed by people bumping cases down them. The animation staff were always busy and friendly, but others seemed quite sullen... probably overworked. The hotel interior, especially the lounge area, was a large open space with chairs dotted around but nothing happening. They advertised entertainment on 3 evenings, although one was later cancelled. These consisted of 2 men walking around the restaurant playing ukuleles, and a man playing a key board in the lounge. This hotel is definitely not a 4 star!

There are good and bad points to this hotel, as previously mentioned there are a lot of steps to get anywhere in the hotel, only 1 lift was working the week we were there in block A. Let’s start at the front of the hotel , there is no name on the hotel building and it faces a high concrete wall, 1st impression was not good at all. Reception staff was helpful as we had an early flight we couldn’t get into our room but we could store our cases and use the facilities. Once we got to our room again I was slightly disappointed as we booked a superior room, a magic camera is definitely used for the photos, the room is small, but it was clean. My Daughter and I always let the bed air for a while of a morning then put the duvet roughly over the bed to make it look a bit tidier, the only day the maid actually made the bed was on day 3 when it got changed, not a major issue but at every other hotel I have stayed at the beds get made. The room didn’t appear to of been hoovered all week and it was hit or miss if the ashtray on the balcony was emptied, again not an issue as I always take nappy sacks as I don’t like a dirty ashtray and dispose of myself. We did get clean towels everyday. Food was relatively good, you could always find something and the choice of fish was really good. Drinks for the day were AWFUL the machine dispensed citro which was like bitter lemon I thought, the citrus orange was still and syrup like, don’t even get me started on the coke and Diet Coke, luckily the machine dispensed water and we drank that. We asked where we could find a shop and was directed to Cavtat, as we wanted milk for the room ( I had taken tea bags and sugar) so bought some coke and spright there which we used of an evening as our mixers, if you come out of the hotel beach side turn right there is a little shop there that sells small bottles for €3 trust me it was worth it!! The entertainment team try really hard maybe because it’s not summer season yet the Kareoke, quiz and other games are held in a tiny room in b block, which is a trek to the bar. The main reception is huge and spread out and despite having a bit of live music has no atmosphere as it is so big and bright. As our week went on the sun bed wars started with towels being put down at 6am the main reason for this was lack of shade/ umbrellas. One day we were lucky enough to get an umbrella and we both went to the loo and to get a drink of water at one point and someone had nicked it by the time we got back! The loos by the snack bar absolutely stunk everyday it hit you about 6 steps from the bottom. My other bug bare was a coach load of OAP Slovakian’s arrived on day 3, what a rude loud nationality, they would just barge to the front of every single queue, I witnessed a number of people telling them to go to the back but they didn’t understand?… Complaints were made to the bar staff and they did stop serving them if they pushed in on a few occasions.
