The description is only partly accurate. It is centrally located. The apar**ent is 18th century with amazing painted ceilings, and is clean and comfortable. However, the 'included breakfast' was a voucher for a coffee and croissant at a cafe downstairs, and had it been raining would have been impossible. The owner didn't bother to come downstairs to let us go up in the interior lift which required two keys to get in, and we didn't know which floor to go to.There wasn't much information available either. Also no tea and coffee facilities in the room.

Great host in a marvelous historical Dimora in Catania. Spaces are clean and curated furniture. Our room had a beautiful fresco on the ceiling. The Host Lady and her assistant are always available for locals indications and tips. Great place to stay for a weekend in the city

The hotel claimed it offers transfers from the airport for surcharges. In reality, when I requested the transfer to the airport, they called a taxi for 22-25 Euros. I also needed a transfer from the airport to the hotel after I have dropped a rental car, and they advised me to take an unfamiliar bus in an unfamiliar city. So, I had to take a taxi again. The conclusion is that this hotel DOES NOT offer the transfer. Also, for those traveling by car: you will be lucky if you find a parking space on the street near the hotel. So, I do not recommend this hotel, especially to those traveling by cars.

Good place in the center, good starting point for all kind of activities. Clean and friendly. Since we slept facing to the water, the boat traffic was a bit noisy in the morning. Otherwise everything fine.

We arrived late in the evening due to unexpected flight delays and I was contacted by Ester on WhatsApp whose English is very good and she was extremely helpful in helping by communicating with the owner, who is lovely. The sign for the hotel is not immediately obvious at night so something to be aware of. The hotel itself is absolutely full of character, it's worth going for the amazing old fashioned lift alone! The location is excellent, easy to reach the centre and 5 minute walk to the bus station. It's a short bus ride from the airport to the city centre. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the location, warm welcome and character of this place.

Absolutely superb! Stunning building and probably the best lift in the history of lifts!! The whole place is beautiful. Staff were kind, knowledgeable and really cared that I got the best out of Catania. Loved it.

This is a beautiful hotel located in an apar**ent building. There are many charming elements such as an old fashioned elevator with red velvet seats and beautiful painted ceilings. You can walk to the main piazza. There is a municipal parking lot very close by. Let the owner know you need to park your car and she will send you the exact name. There is also a large park with a fountain and playground right next to the parking lot, less than a 10 minute walk. There is also an open air fruit/veggie market there too. The area right around the hotel is a bit run down but we felt very safe walking with our toddler and it’s such a quick walk to the piazza. The owner was very kind and helped us with some questions. We loved our room, it was spacious and the air conditioning worked very well! The ceiling was painted beautifully. We would definitely stay here again.
