This place is the perfect island getaway. The Mamon Bugalow I had was incredible. The perfect thatched hut (with luxury) I was expecting. The SCUBA diving will be hard to beat anywhere. The reefs go on for miles and the life in them is teeming. The Paradismo dive crew is top notch and can work with all skill levels. The property is immaculate and the staff is full of the nicest and friendliest I have ever met. Some I even call friends now. The food, WOW. never once did I receive something I didn't like. If you get a chance to meet the owner you are in luck. She is a fascinating woman with an incredible vision of Blue Apple. She is very proud to tell you the story and quick to say she didn't do it alone. It's very commendable of what she and her team are doing there. It's not just a beautiful day to spend the day or week but way more than that.

I spent 5 nights at Blue Apple for a yoga retreat and it was perfection. Great food, great vibe, great staff. The resort is fun and relaxed - not ritzy - and the staff is all locals, so you feel like you are in Columbia, not Florida or the modern resorts of islands like San Juan. They even have 2 dogs and a colony of friendly cats they look after, if you enjoy lounging by the pool or your cabana with a 4-legged friend. There's a boat to Cartegena a few times a day that for about $5US (port fee) you can spend time in the city easily. I would definitely go back.

I've had the pleasure of staying at Blue Apple for a few nights. It was a fantastic experience. The rooms are gorgeous, the bed is perhaps one of the most comfortable I've slept on ever! I've visited on day passes many times so I knew overnight would be great too. The vibe is always great there. They play a lot of soca which I love! I felt extremely blessed to be there after the day guests leave and the beach club becomes exclusive to overnighters. Due to its boutique size, a lot of the overnight guests became familiar faces, some even friends! The drinks are great and food is simply amazing! All of the staff look after you and make you feel welcome. I had the privilege of riding the horses as well and this was a highlight of my stay. Thanks to everyone there and especially Emma, Deimer, Galo and Jorge...you all made our stay even better. I can 100% recommend Blue Apple, as a hotel and day pass too :)

Fantastic people, excellent food and drinks, prime location, wonderful values, perfect for relaxing. The hardest decision is do I want to swim in the pool or ocean? Or which cocktail or dish should I try next? 10000% recommend for a day trip or splurge/treat yourself and stay there. I’m not a fan of boats so the easy 20 min ride was much preferable to the long and expensive ride to Rosario. We also did the motorbike island tour and got to see the local village, more of the island, and have a beer and coconuts over a game of dominos at the local bar. My friend and I shared a cabana and it was amazing and we can’t stop talking about it

They have their own ferry to bring you to the island. 25 minutes ride. In the bay - so wasn’t rough at all. Come in your bathing suit and hit the pool or the beach. They welcome you with a welcome drink. They reserve cabanas and loungers for you- no need to wake up at 7am and claim chairs. The grounds are beautiful. Take a motorcycle taxi into town and play dominoes and drink beer with the locals. They staff could not be better. At night, we felt like family. There is an intimate feeling with the staff. Some speak English. Some Spanish. The food is also very good. Try the red snapper with thai coconut. That was my favorite. We stayed in Mangostina room - with a plunge pool. I love the conservation aspect of the foundation they run. Go make your candle or glass. Really fun 45 minutes. Get a massage. Best $30 you will spend. I will definitely be back.

We spent three days here. Room with plunge pool and outdoor shower was fun. Food was really delicious, especially the fish soup with coconut milk. Saturday was pizza night with pies from a wood-fired oven. You can have meals in restaurant or in your room. AC works well. Hot water was iffy, but not a big deal. Staff is very accommodating. Maggie the manager is from Texas; she’s very nice and also very helpful if you don’t speak Spanish. Luz and Laura were also helpful and took good care of us. We enjoyed all the animals - horses, goats, chickens, dogs and lots of cats. Pool area is lively during the day and peaceful at night. On Sunday there was a nice bonfire on the beach. The beach isn’t white sand and blue water, but it’s peaceful. The boat ride there took 25 minutes. Be sure to take your swimsuit out of your luggage, so you can hit the pool right away if you are waiting to check into your room. Overall, a very nice three days! Try the Coco Loco drink made with Colombia’s national liquor, aguardiente!

Blue Apple has been on my radar for several years. It’s been pretty amazing from the start. Yet, they continue to improve and find new ways to please and tantalize. Well appointed outdoor showers, luxurious bedding, every whim and need anticipated and fulfilled. Colorful bouganvilleas cascading over relaxing hammocks. Waking up to birdsong and jasmine perfumed air. Rotating contemporary art echoing beach life. Local island culture accenting music, vibes and culinary offerings. Delicious tropical specialties, expertly prepared with many plant based options. Impressive commitment to sustainability and renewable resources. Extensive herb gardens, solar panels, recycling workshop and well trained, long-term employees ready to make every day fun and relaxing. Drifting off to sleep in one of the beachside cabanas, waking up thirsty and as if by magic a bottle of cold water and glass waiting for you. Many options for exploring the surroundings….diving or snorkeling around the reef accessible from the beach, early morning horseback riding, visiting 17th Century Spanish fortress. Always something new to discover.

We were a group of 12 (6 adults, 6 kids). Loved Blue Apple. The accommodations were perfect and comfortable (AC was so good!). We had 5 of the cabanas. The staff were all amazing. They are very accommodating and helped us plan any and all excursions. Has kind of a cool bohemian vibe. It is lively and busy during the day but then clears out around 4 when all the day trippers head out and it feels like you are staying at your own private compound!

Incredible private hotel. Great hotel on Isla Tierra Bomba. In the day great atmosphere at the pool and the bar and at night very very private. All rooms are new. Incredible beds - super comfortable, great sheets etc. One of the best nights sleep of my life. 75 mbps on the internet so great for working. Highly highly recommended.
