We didn't stay at the hotel but ate here during our stay nearby. We had eaten here on a trip last year so knew the food was good and it didn't disappoint. The burgers are great, you can actually tell they are made from real beef. We travel to the area most years so will definitely be back in the future.

Great place to start your exploration tour of the Highlands. Barkeeper Jamie was very friendly and let the bar open for us. Rooms are very cozy. Open fireplace invites you to spend your time in the Pub. You can relax and enjoy nature in this region perfectly. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

I wanted a Hotel close to River Findhorn and used the Cairn Hotel, very pleasant owner and chatted about fishing before sorting my room key. Food was very good & very clean room, tea, coffee and even a caramel wafer for snack. The bar staff very efficient and pour a beautiful Belhaven Best beer. Breakfast was excellent and special mention for Nora who was brilliant both behind bar and in mornings, breakfast service was top class……a professional and good credit to herself.

Another great lunch (3 years in a row whilst on holiday). Windswept beer on tap, along with our fave Cairngorm Stag. Burgers still great! Staff take the time to talk with you about beers, food etc. Good service. Fire roaring - welcome considering it was minus degrees outside

Held a birthday celebration weekend in the Highlands with everyone staying at the Cairn Hotel. It was a superb weekend, the team at Cairn Hotel went above and beyond to make it a weekend to remember. Breakfast was ready for us as we arrived off the sleeper train, the porridge is highly recommended! Rooms clean, beds comfy, lounge and bar warm and welcoming. Food in the restaurant delicious, especially the desserts! Best of all was the genuine friendliness from all the staff, we felt so special the whole weekend.

The bed and bedding was very comfortable bed, the breakfast was excellent with plenty off cover of cooked options. In the evening, the lively bar was great and very good food options. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. It was a busy weekend with lots of guests in the bar and restaurant in the evenings but the service was still very good.

Perfect! Really comfortable,lovely staff. Food is fabulous and really reasonably priced. The best value for money place we have stayed in. The rooms maybe basic but have everything you need and are really comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Second visit to this homely hotel. Lovely room - this time we were in the next door annex but room was lovely, warm and comfortable. Our room appeared to be the only one in the annex that wasn’t en-suite but we had a private bathroom right across the corridor so it was no issue at all. The food was absolutely first class - both our evening dinner and breakfast - just couldn’t be faulted. Nice public bar area which is clearly popular with the locals with a great drinks selection including local ales. Staff across our stay - bar, restaurant and check-out were just lovely. Been twice now - will most certainly return. Thoroughly recommended.
