Aux 4 Vents - Auberg'Inn

This was my 2nd visit to the yurts. Somewhat different than in in 2012 when the equipment was new. While the staff was friendly and helpful there seems to be a la k of attention to detail - holes in screens, crusty window flaps, no plug for the sink, thermo cell non operable to chase away the kazillion bugs, leaky roof. Really missing love and care. The bed and futon were comfortable enough and the place was clean. The noise from the bar went on until 3 am (mid-week). I should have guessed when I saw the box of earplugs. Resume: great idea, fun concept to float on water but needs mu h better maintenance.

Our third year going to the floating yurt and our last time sadly. We did not feel welcomed when we got there. We were told we had not informed them that we would be arriving at 9pm but I reviewed our reservation and we had informed them. We were told we had not informed them of the number of people coming but I reviewed my reservation and emails and we had informed them days ahead (had not been acknowledged by the company). Regardless, when we arrived the owner seemed upset and charged us extra for some reason ($36.50). We paid it because we were exhausted and had driven 6 hours to be at the yurt. The usual problem with clouds of baby mayflies ,thick as soup, flying everywhere and covering all surfaces of the yurt; we are used to this and made sure to keep the doors closed. Unfortunately the door to the compost toilet could not be closed from the inside so while in there during wee hours of the morning , we just had to keep eyes and mouths closed while the door remained open, praying that the flies didn’t get breathed in or get into our eyes. Yurt and composting toilet seem to be getting old. No propane hooked up to the small stove. No matches anywhere to light candles. The bar next to the estuary where the yurts float is VERY loud most of the night until 2 am when it closes. Overall, underwhelming.

On only entrance to the room thete was no safety railings on 3rd floor room, treese over outside stairs to room ,no lite on stairs, patio in need of many repairs.. not like picture in ad, no a/c , dirty kitchen,not enough towels,1 tv channel ,couldn't find reception or entrance as its combined with a bar / restaurant.

Where to begin!? The Yurt is where we booked. We did not stay !! Not even the 1st night! We had booked for two nights. It was a complete disaster the dock is falling apart. It was not kept in good condition full of spiders not even well isolated mosquitos by the ton coming in. The time it took to bring our stuff over by canoe we might of stayed 30 min and we packed up as quick as we got there. This was not a great experience Worse than camping! And I don't like camping.. the only positive is that we were fully refunded. And the guy working there let us stay in his mobile home for the night since we had no other arrangements. Never going back!

I visited Carleton sur mer with my husband and stayed two night in this yurt. The staff was very friendly and the yurt itself was fun. Only complaint I would have is about the noise you can hear of the bar/ restaurant at the shore.
