La Cour Carree

Simply an outstanding place! We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the comforts, delicious breakfasts, location and, best of all, the attention and suggestions from Regis. He really “ gets” customer service. Be sure to ask him where to hike in the area. His recommendations made for several highly memorable outings.

OK, first of all Exceptional is an understatement. We were early on arrival and the amazing staff allowed us to store our bags whilst the room was being prepared. Now the staff were absolutely amazing and really friendly. Easy to chat with and had good local knowledge. The room was well above what we were expecting. It was large and really comfortable. There was air-con and a really nice bathroom (just be prepared for no door on the bathroom, but hey you're in France!). There were shutters on the window which was a nice toucn. It was also very clean. The location was fantastic. It is walkable to the main train station and the castle is only a couple of KM away. Overall this was fantastic value for money and we would definitely stay here again.

A great location, lovely room and bathroom. Regis is a wonderful host and very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was fresh bread and pastries, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea/coffee plus a homemade sweet treat, delicious. We really enjoyed our stay, about 20+ minute walk to the medieval city which is so interesting.

Hotels can’t get any better when it comes to customer care, design, comfy feel, breakfast and of course location. From the moment of arrival it’s more like coming ‘home’ than staying at a hotel. Parking is right in front or a garage just a minute walk away from the hotel, easy walk to the old town and lots of wonderful options for drinks or meals nearby. Lovely shower and bathroom, bed is super comfy and despite being near a main road and I cdnt hear a thing. Rooms have shutters so that helps as well. All in all a perfect stay

Wonderful location in regard to La Cite´about a 20 / 40 minute walk depending on how much you meander and get taken in by the sights and sounds (and in our case food) on offer in town. Beautiful space, very clean and comfortable room (needed after a day walking in the glorious sunshine). We were very well attended and advised by our host Regis. Breakfast was a real treat, fresh fruit and pastries provided daily with hot beverages of choice. Freshly squeezed orange juice and an additional sweet treat that changed daily. Even a vegan apple cake that was utterly delicious and neither of us are vegan. If you are fortunate enough to visit over the weekend the Saturday Market will be right outside your door tempting you with many treats! Home away from home in the most beautiful place, thoroughly recommend and hope to return in the not too distant future!

The location is excellent. It's a 5-6 minute walk from the Bastide, the main square in the new town and a pleasant 15 minute walk to the old City. La COUR CARREE is on a wide tree-lined avenue with plenty of parking in front and there's a courtyard at the back so I'd say there's no problem if you have bikes. My room on the ground floor was very spacious, brand new ensuite fittings, spotlessly clean, elegant furniture and a nice big bed with good linen. (There was no shower gel tho so BYO). Regis is a really nice host - genuinely friendly, good English and serves a continental breakfast with charming attention to detail. He made me a fabulous home made chocolate chaud and whipped up some eggs for some cycling guests. The house is traditional. It has AC (and heating if you're there on a cold evening). Definitely safe booking here.

Amazing hosts and beautiful decor! Breakfast was amazing with great facilities, mainly the bathrooms. There is also a very tranquil courtyard to spend time in all times of the day. Great location for new and old towns in Carcassonne! Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. We’ll definitely be back!

Our stay at La Cour Carree far exceeded our expectations. Regis was super helpful and accommodating as host. Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed by all! The recent renovations incorporate a welcomed blend of modern facilities into a historical building. The location worked great for our group as we were all on foot. I can't say enough good things and highly recommend this property if staying in Carcassonne!

This lovely restored home is very elegant and a true 5 star gem in every way. The host is extremely kind and helpful. Superb breakfast in this quiet, well located hotel. It is extremely easy to walk to the restaurants and the castle.
