A very comfortable, clean hotel next to the sea. Lovely sunrises. Good food and lovely staff. Good selection of food for breakfast and dinner with all tastes catered for. Some slightly bonkers (loud) entertainment outside in the evenings but the madness of it appealed to my sense of humour!! Complementary soft drinks in the room fridge which was a nice touch. Overall, highly recommended!

We stayed at the hotel from Saturday 16th September for 14 days. The hotel is in an ideal position within easy walking distance to a few shops and bars and just across the road from the beautiful beach. Our room was on the sixth floor and had a side sea view. The room definitely is in need of a refurbishment as the floors and furnishings are somewhat shabby. There was two large beds in the room which we found to be comfortable. Air conditioning was good (once we got the hang of it). Large balcony which was over the main entrance. Large groups of Spanish walkers congregated outside in the morning all shouting (not talking) and laughing loudly before setting off. Hotel caters mainly for Spanish, nothing wrong with that, after all it is in Spain. The food in the newly refurbished restaurant (very smartly done) was excellent with lots of choice, both at breakfast and dinner. Our only complaint was the noise, lots of children running around the restaurant without correction or supervision by their parents and lots of loud talking (almost at shouting level). The first week was relatively quiet at meal times but as the second week progressed more and more guests arrived and therefore more noise. There was entertainment in the hotel, we did not stay to see any of it as we have family in the area and spent our time socializing with them. All in all a good experience and we would use the hotel again when visiting Mojacar.

Read some of the varying reviews about this hotel, decided to book all the same. Don’t bother booking on an All Inclusive basis, as you honestly get treated like second class, an inconvenience to the staff. None of them look happy, if you opt to buy your drinks, they will take the spirit bottle to you with a nice mixer..if you are on AI, they come out with a concoction of god knows what with the next from the tap. The hotel itself? Paid for a sea view and balcony, absolute waste of money, we were looking at the back of the hotel for our “Sea view” the balcony? As people have said it is ridiculously small and we couldn’t use it. This hotel backed on to a golf course, it was at the end of the *****, miles away from shops and restaurants. The pool area was shocking, in fact they need to get the green keeping staff from the golf course to cut the grass, what a mess. To sum up, we rarely ever complain about hotels and restaurants, this one was awful. Find somewhere else where they value your custom. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. It would be no bad to renew billiards and lower them price and put something more, darts, more pin tables put ... The breakfast buffet was not bad, but some of the cheerleaders were unpleasant, attached photo of the cushion that gave me to breakfast. As you touch one apartment or another is something else, we touched the square, but they cut the noise at 12:00. In general, well, we certainly repeat some year.

We stayed here for a one night stopover as we were driving from Ronda to Denia. We were really pleased with our choice. Carboneras is a small Spanish seaside town, there is an industrial area to the south but don’t let this put you off. The beaches are clean and this hotel is behind a pedestrianised promenade straight onto the beach. We were concerned as our car was full of luggage and initially we were driving round for a few minutes but we found a piece of land right next door to the hotel which felt very safe to leave our car. The only person in the hotel who spoke English worked in the kitchen and embarrassingly we have very little Spanish. The owners and staff were so friendly it really didn’t matter. The owners welcomed us and we thought our room was perfect. The restaurant and bar are on the ground floor, there are about six identical bedrooms on the first floor and possibly two bedrooms with larger balconies on the second floor. We had a room on the first floor, it was immaculately clean. There was a spacious bathroom with a good shower over the bath, a safe, large wardrobe, a small TV which we didn’t use and excellent air-conditioning. The balcony with a useful small rack to dry clothes was bigger than expected with a small table and two stools and great views of the sea. We ate in the restaurant which opened at 8pm but didn’t get busy until later. The food portions were generous and there were little extras. It was all homemade from the starters we had ham croquettes, to two delicious Iberian pork dishes with well cooked vegetables and homemade apple pie with cookie ice cream for pudding. Our bill with drinks and a tip was 70 euros. We shared the starter and dessert as portions were generous and we also had bread on the table. The breakfast that was included was more than adequate. Coffee/freshly squeezed orange juice, toasted baguettes with cheese, meats and tomato. We only heard Spanish spoken by everyone including other guests while we were there which was great. If you stay I am sure you will enjoy it.

Hotel lovely very clean food not hot enough have to use the microwave staff are all lovely but there is a lifeguard the oldest and fattest one is so rude he shouts at English children and gets away with it he done this so many times and was reported to management but nothing happened he is a bully and should never work with children. Management stick up for him stating it is a language barrier but wagging fingers in peoples faces is rude and violent in any language he lets the whole hotel down would never book again
