I had a booking with Rockwell "Luxury" Suites last week. When checked into the room, it was anything but "Luxury", in fact the level of accommodation, finishes, equipment could be described as nothing but "budget". The unit was cheaply finished, sp****ly furnished, and the kitchen crockery, utensils, glasses, cooking equipment were below boarding school quality. The unit smelt of bleach / disinfectant, which was overpowering. I was planning to use the apartment to meet offsite with management from my business in Cape Town, and just could not do so due to due to the apartment being so poor. The property may argue that their facility "ticks all the boxes" as advertised. I cannot argue with this, but it certainly does not meet the expectations of the price point charged. There are signs in the apartment asking guests not to use ********* in the apartment, what sort of place is this?? I left the apartment within 45 minutes of arriving, after making a few calls to find a suitable alternative. I make use of apartments and hotels in Cape Town at least once a month. This is by far the worst accommodation I have experienced in the past 3 years. I have requested a refund from the property, but have had no response.
