Honest review: The Good: Great location, close to shopping mall and restaurants and 2 blocks to beach and one staff member nice enough to offer to help with our luggage up 15 steps to the second floor. That's where the good ends sadly. We really wanted to like this place and were looking forward to coming here. The bad: No parking on premise unless you have a select room at higher cost. We were here off season mid week and still had to park a block and a half away at "unmetered parking spot" which are few and far between. Can't imagine what in season nightmare this is. Sarcastic staff. My friend and I were trying to find the hot water to make tea in the pantry. There was a keriug for coffee but nothing to indicate how to get hot water for our tea. As we were discussing possibly the hot water is obtained thru the keriug when the rude staff came up from behind us to say " no unless you want your tea to taste like coffee and feel like scolding yourself, The hot water comes from that spicket over there in the sink. Felt like she enjoyed correcting us like school children and that she's done this before. There was nothing labeled to say it was how we were to get hot water from the sink. Well how about putting a label on that spicket because I'm sure we weren't the first people to find this arrangement a bit annoying. Lady you need to find another line of work because this isn't it. THE ROOM : Gilbert & Sullivan Main building, 2nd floor, end of hall. Well let me tell ya, if you suffer from vertigo run as fast as you can from this room. The room slants downward from the door to the 2 steps down to the bedroom. This is easily verified by sitting on the well worn out love seat and looking at the bottom of the fireplace. You can see a good 2" of wood that quickly disappears as you move to the right of the fireplace. Just walking the few feet in that room makes one dizzy. We had no indication of this when booking so just be aware. There's not enough outlets and the ones there are in weird spots without an end table to use it. The bed spread is not soft and there is no comforter, just a top sheet and old rough blanket, made sleeping uncomfortable. Staying at a bed & Breakfast should automatically mean the bed above everything should be wonderful, it was anything but. I've stayed at several other bed & Breakfasts and never encountered an uncomfortable room so this was a surprise and not a good surprise. THE FOOD: OMG where do I begin,,,, The Good: the Rasberry tea. The bad: Sorry but this was beyond bad. Tea time was a joke. The marble sized snowball cookies, crackers w/ pepper spred and a 2" x 2" square piece of dry cranberry cake. Yup that was it. We got up starving. Don't cancel your dinner reservations, your going to need it. Like how difficult would it be to put out a few cheeses, some veggies & dip? How much would that cost for God sake. THE BREAKFAST: Serve yourself. This is not a sit down meal which is should be. Coffee was
