住了兩晚。酒店花園打理精緻，房間古樸，空間大，衞生整潔，前台帥哥人不錯。步行去坎特伯雷東站不到十分鐘，便利。

有個種滿植物的小花園，非常精緻。酒店距離坎特伯雷大教堂有些遠，在城邊的街邊。酒店對面有個小公園，環境很好。早餐很好，服務人員也非常熱情友好。

Agree with previous reviews, bathroom needs either a mat and rails or to be converted to shower tray. Other than that, fabulous! Lovely staff, incredibly friendly and helpful, professional. Well appointed building modernised but retains charms of yore. Pool outstanding! Little enclosed garden. Excellent Spa services on site. Breakfast included delicious and plentiful. Very clean. Great location, 20m walk to city centre. Limited parking on site but close to a park n ride venue.

To avoid confusion, this hotel is now known as the Thanington Hotel. A small, traditional hotel offering comfortable accommodation and friendly service.and friendly service. Arrived to a warm welcome and checked in for a 2 night stay. Had a superior room in the main building. Spacious, good decor and quiet. Good size bathroom, but shower lacked power. Breakfast was good and plentiful - hot and cold buffet offering a good choice. Parking is limited when the hotel is busy (spaces for 15 rooms) but I understand there is good availability in the side roads close by. Great location - about 15 minutes walk to the main shops and cathedral. Not that we had time, but the hotel offers a swimming pool and beauty treatment. Would certainly recommend and return when visiting Canterbury again.

First things first - it is now called the Thanington Hotel. Parking is limited - once you enter there is no room to turn round if it is full and getting in and out of spaces is tricky. We parked on the back roads opposite the hotel for most of our stay. 15 minutes walk to the main shops and cathedral with a few decent pubs on the way. We were in room 9, decent size room with plenty of storage space. It was a bit tight between the bed and the wall. Good bathroom with powerful shower. We had air-con in our room but we couldn’t keep it on as it dripped tons of condensation onto the floor - we half-filled the waste paper bin. We enjoyed the hot and cold buffet breakfast with the occasional wait while they topped up the servers. We tried the bar one evening but there was not much choice and the night manager didn’t have much of a clue on portion sizes. We loved the inner courtyard for a relaxed rest. We’d definitely use again if we were in the area.
