Location: the hotel is places in the very centre of Canakkale right in from of the ferry docking and a few minutes walk from shops and restaurants. Reception: when we first arrived we were welcomed by a female with which we struggle to communicate due to a quite strong language barrier, which we though, been Canakkale a touristic location, it would have been weaker. We were nevertheless explained when breakfast was going to take place and where and few other relevant information. A plus is that they helped us finding a guided tour for Troy with a guide that came to pick us up directly at the hotel. Room: the room was clean and big enough for two people to comfortably walk. The room got cleaned daily and two small water bottle were left each time in the mini fridge, free of charge. The bed, despite been a double bed, was composed by two single mattresses placed next to each other; in the morning when the whole hotel wakes up, the boiler struggles to deliver hot water to every shower (the water is warm, not cold nor lukewarm). Breakfast: breakfast is served between 07.00 and 10.00 and has quite a variety of choices both in food and drink (the coffee machine is placed at the far end of the breakfast hall). The waitress/cook refills the platters regularly wearing gloves. Price: for the cost payed for the three night we spent there, the service is matching our expectations. It is not a top end hotel, therefore is wrong expecting a top end service and location. What you get is what you pay for. How to get there: The reach this location from Canakkale Otogar, jump onto the Ç9 bus which stops at the docks; the journey costs 8TL and can be payed via contactless on the bus itself. To go back to the otogar, jump on the same bus at the very same stop (the bus leaves every half and hour).
