My stay at Golden Star Hotel was delightful. Although there was no breakfast provided, I discovered a fantastic restaurant nearby. The internet connection was excellent, allowing me to stay connected and productive throughout my stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing a relaxing environment after a long day of travel. The hotel's location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that my needs were met during my one-night stay. Very close to Ho Chi Minh Exhibition and Convention Center, 5 minutes drive by Grab. Quiet upscale neighborhood, the landlord is very nice, and gave us free mini bar and red wine. Two-bedroom apartment with a living room, highly recommended for business travel in District 7!

The location is old the hotel need some much needed improvement I requested a quiet room far from elevator and they put me on the nearest 😅the hotel Chinese restaurant is local and I recommend a must try. The staffs are average and I totally stayed four nights and didn’t get much sleep coz the door closing aren’t nearing quiet mode and the pushing cleaning lolly and ladies speaking loudly at the hallway weren’t helping …. So I cut short of total six nights to four and had to argue for few hours to get what I wanted….

The apartment is newly decorated, everything is very clean, and the location is very convenient. It takes five minutes by taxi to reach District 1 across the river. The view from the room is very good, you can see the landmarks, and it has a washing machine, dryer and kitchen, which is very convenient. The boss is Chinese and very friendly. He introduced us to many tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh. The community has a swimming pool/gym/café/supermarket, and you can walk to Vinh Hoi Park near the apartment. There is a children's entertainment area and many sports facilities. The security guard is also very kind and friendly. I will come again next time.

We arrived super early to check in due to an early flight. We were allowed up by the pool to chill out and the lady met us and explained we was rushing the clean for us so we could get in early and let us store our bags. Whole thing was so smoothly run and the pool is cold! The first cold pool we’ve come across in Vietnam and it’s just the best! The apartment block it’s in is so quiet perfect to relax in. You have a washing machine in case you want to do any washing. Has a small kitchen so you can cook some basics and save yourself a bit of money. Can’t fault it!

The reviews were mostly very good, and since I had been staying at a nearby hotel until recently, I decided to visit and found it to be clean, so I chose this hotel. However, when I checked in, there was a motorcycle parked at the entrance, blocking my way, and the front desk staff remained seated and did nothing to help. The room showed numerous signs of a hasty and amateurish renovation, with walls simply painted white, and the bathroom door was still broken. What ultimately made me lose faith in this hotel was that, the day before my check-in, two one-star reviews were posted on Google Maps, and the next day the hotel's listing was completely removed from the map. Due to the series of problems mentioned above, I became distrustful of this hotel and asked via chat why they had deleted the hotel's information from Google Maps, but I was ignored. Additionally, on the second day, the entrance was blocked by a motorcycle again, preventing me from entering, while the front desk staff sat there playing with their smartphone. On the last day, they came to my room directly to ask if I was going to extend my stay, and during check-out, they didn’t say a single word, not even a ”thank you.” This hotel seems to be owned by Indian capital, but the staff look down on and mock their guests, making for a very frustrating trip. I ask once again, why did they remove the hotel information from Google Maps? This hotel is deliberately removing bad reviews to deceive new guests by only showcasing good reviews. It appears to be managed by Indians, but they should reflect on their disgraceful actions as human beings. Deceptive acts towards guests who trusted and stayed at your hotel are absolutely unacceptable. I will never use this hotel again.

Nicecy just took over Tan Loc hotel and had refurbished a much modern concept of budget hotel. Had a deluxe double room 504. Bed was comfy and had strong hot shower and cold aircon. Room 501/502 is still refurbishing so you can hear workers rushing their works early 8am. One small con is that the overhead rain shower is quite low that a 1.75m tall person can hit the shower head above. Near Ben Thanh market and the famous Indian temple. 5min walking to Michelin Pho Vietnam restaurant. Will return to stay
