Just returned from this hotel. I travel to Spain annually to visit family and try to make a holiday out of it. We normally stay between Cambrills and Salou but couldn't get into our usual hotel, after reading the amazing reviews we decided to book here. Pros: lovely room with everything you need from hairdryer to shampoo. We had a pool view room. Beds were big and comfortable with extra blankets provided which was great as my other half loved the aircon. Quiet hotel. Free Safe and coffee making facilities in the room. Free water in reception. The staff go above and beyond and make you feel so welcome. The hotel is in the perfect location for bars and restaurants. Also close to walk to the beach and easy access to buses into Salou. There is a pool bar. There was entertainment when you ate in the outdoor area which was a nice touch and free drink samples as you walked in. Great orange juice at breakfast and lots of food choice. Lovely sauna and fitness centre. Cons: pool view room means you are overlooking a road. The pool area was not great to be honest. We only tried to sit there for 5 mins and that was enough. The hotel feels more like a conference centre so did not have the holiday vibe we are use to. I felt like I was staying in hotel in London but with sun. Very small bar with long queues in the evening. The outdoor seating area is plagued with flys. The food was often luke warm or cold so we ended up living on bread rolls. Dinner did not start until 8pm so we were eating quite late every night. Overall if you are looking for just a base whilst you explore the local area then this is the perfect place for you but if you want a relaxing holiday around a pool with great shows in the evening then I would stay a little further up the coast.

I just love this hotel, I ve been doing our holidays in the last years only at Caesar Augustus or Augustus as part of the same grup of hotels. Food is delicious, always plenty of options, staff at reception always friendly, chambermaids and staff from restaurant and bar always on move and give a quality service.Location is perfect, you have a lot of options to visit Salou, Taragona6, Reus and Barcelona. I always come back there for our summer holidays in Spain ♥️🇪🇸

Hotel is exceptionally clean, food excellent, and is in a stunning location. The dining room at mealtimes is hectic but the staff are organised, pleasant and work so, so hard - they are a credit to the organisation and hope they are appreciated. The beach just outside the hotel is gorgeous and clean and the area lovely. Sunbeds in the pool area are easy to get but not many cabanas and people stick their towels on to reserve, some old folk don’t even use them and use them to put their belongings on. Bus stop is literally outside the door and easy to use. Paper cups are still used in the hotel rooms and sometimes left from the night before and not restocked. Had to ask several times for coffee, tea, milk etc as not replenished but WiFi is good and a free safe deposit box. A great hotel that we will return to.

We loved the Estival Centurion Playa, we were welcomed on our arrival by friendly helpful receptionist, we did have to wait until 14:00 for our room but this wasn't a problem we waited around the pool area. we asked for a sea view when booking and we were happy that we were given a room (2016) on the 2nd floor over looking the sea. We found the hotel to be very clean, our room cleaned every day and fresh bedding most days. The food and choices for breakfast and evening meal was exceptional. The Estival Centurion Playa is situated in a quieter area of Cambrils, a few supermarkets, chemist, bars, the plana across the road, £10 euros for 10 bus trips then only £6 euros to top up for another 10 trips, ( if your a couple or family you can use the one card just tap for each person). Bike hire from the hotel. A 20 minute walk on the prom (right out of the back gate) will take you to the harbour, restaurants, cafes and many shops. A short bus ride through Salou to La Pineda takes you to a lovely beach area with a bay that is shallow you can walk out, safe for children, great for snorkelling. The bus will take you into Tarragona, a coastal city worth a visit. We had a ride to Reus town, Monday market day, stone buildings and quaint little side streets.

Will try to keep it short - staff weren’t the most friendly/happy and could be quite rude if you’re waiting to be served they ignored you and finished their conversation first -if you go late for your evening meal lots of staff don’t reset the tables once they’ve cleaned them -restaurant had no set systems, so was a bit of a free for all to get your food -food was average, some days better than others -smoking a real issue, need to create a space designated for non-smokers. We left in the evening as we didn’t want to be surrounded by all the smoke and breathing it in -lots of sunbeds and space -relaxed feeling (not much around the resort, other than the local SPAR) -pools are COLD -lovely beach front location -short transfer time from the airport -standard room quite small- two single beds pushed together
