We have stayed at this hotel two times before and highly rated it, but to be honest this visit was disappointing.
The service has definitely taken a dip for the worse.
Hotel conditions / cleanliness are very good.
However, Staff and customer service not so much.
Some of the staff seem very reluctant to help at all.
If you are hungry later on in the evening do not rely on room service.
There was no menu in the room, and When we went to reception to ask for the room service menu, we were asked if we were sure because it was just a small amount of microwave meals (named night bites)
We ordered the mushroom risotto over the telephone, 30 minutes later we received a call to say they did not have this meal and they could only supply a meat based meal.
I explained I was a vegetarian, and the reception just apologised and couldn’t offer any alternative.
If anything we were made to feel like we were being an inconvenience.
I’m addition, The hotel no longer parks your car for you from the reception. Instead you have to drive to another hotel car park and pay £30 for the pleasure.
(For us this was a highlight of staying at the hotel)
We don’t think this stay was worth £313.00 per night.
