VIVA Cala Mesquida Suites & Spa

Perfect hotel for a chilled out break. We initially booked half board but upgraded to all inclusive. Fabulous facilities, activities and entertainment. We were delighted with the variety of options - aqua aerobics, well equipped gym, organised walks during the day and excellent evening entertainment. Food options were varied and plentiful however I struggled at times for gluten free options. On occasion the labelling was incorrect as the chef would state a certain dish was gluten feee but the label indicated it did have gluten. I was told other dishes did contain gluten but the label for the dish indicated it was gluten free. Some dishes were cooked on the same hot plate which means cross contamination is almost certain. For example one evening chicken and pork were being cooked together I was advised the chicken was gluten free but the pork wasn’t. The labels had it the other way around but because they were cooked together neither dish was safe for me to eat. This made it almost impossible to be sure what I was eating would be safe. Inconsistent labels and contradictory advice from the chef. I did contact the hotel prior to booking and was reassured I could be catered for. I spoke to catering staff and different chefs and felt I could have been better informed and supported. Aside from this important factor I would definitely return to the hotel. I would just be more directive with my needs and escalate any concerns quickly.

Our choice to book a private transfer from Palma Airport got us to the resort in good time and check-in was swift. Our room was ready and thanks go to Baba for taking us and our cases to the room. The Royal Terrace room was well prepared and was serviced well throughout our stay by the housekeeping team. The room was spacious and the roof terrace was a wonderful space to relax and enjoy our stay. The AI option gave us the opportunity to reserve one dinner in Talaia and the Blue Moon Grill, for a birthday celebration. Both meals were excellent. The food and beverage offerings at breakfast and dinner in main buffet restaurant were full of choice and of a high standard and comparable with some of the best AI hotels we have stayed in. Lunch at Blue Moon was a highlight of the day, a la carte every day! Special mention, for making the dining experience so enjoyable, goes to Anita, Jose and Adrian. All the staff are a credit to the hotel but a shout out goes to Alejandro whose manner and level of service are outstanding and he is sure to be a future star of the organisation. Based on our recent visit we would highly recommend a stay here and we look forward to making a return visit ourselves in the not too distant future.

This is our third trip to this hotel and it just gets better every time. We took advantage of Marcel’s trip to Costa del Mar and lunch at Casablanca. Marcel was an outstanding group leader. He was so kind, knowledgeable and humorous. The staff at the hotel were only too pleased to help. The food is fantastic. The drinks are divine. We also tried the spa - having a massage. This was one of the highlights of the trip. The evening’s entertainment was topped by ‘Only the Hits’ by Soul Avenue. These guys can sing! And they have all the moves. Seriously, check them out (even if they are on the same time as a football match, as it was when we were there). The place is clean, comfortable and welcoming. We are already checking the diary for our forthcoming trip!

The adult only Viva hotel was very relaxing and had everything we needed. Staff friendly and helpful. Food options varied and book on arrival to dine in the tapas restaurant, it was amazing. Reception impressive with art work decor. All rooms are a stroll away from the main building in blocks. Cat friendly if you like felines !

We have just returned home from a week away. We all had a wonderful time away and had a very relaxing week. We thought the bedrooms were excellent, well kitted out and spacious. Food was excellent at all meals. We especially loved the tapas, service and food was excellent. Oasis pool was beautiful, v quiet. We would recommend select club, as we enjoyed the 2 meals in the speciality restaurants. Highlight of the hotel for us were the staff. Each and every one of them were so polite, helpful, friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Another great day stay at Cala mesquida adults Only and will be back next year again Best hotel on Majorca and I’ve being staying at all other hotels and resorts on Majorca for the last 30 Years New select pool is great & has the most comfortable sun-beds around Going back to the select to which we had this year was really good , Enrique who ran the select half was fantastic and always willing to help out and go the extra mile to do anything to make your say the best Also the rooms were immaculate , we stayed in block 6 were a lady called Damaris cleaned our rooms to a very high standard and was very polite and happy every day And to top it off the food is great cannot fault this hotel in anyway

The Hotel is perfect for all who look for standard, tranquility and service. The rooms are spacious, the hotel and garden is very well maintained. The service in the restaurant is very quick, efficient and personal. The food served for Halfboard + is excellent and all is very delicious. I would recommend this hotel completely. One big extra here are excursions and small hikes offered by MARCEL. On a daily basis he will show you nice trails and areas close to the hotel. Marcel is really a "Perle", as he calls it !.

Very relaxing. Not pressurised to do anything if you didn’t want to. Entertainment in the evening was very good. Exceptional staff.. just loved our time there

It’s a quiet relaxing hotel. We had a room with pool and select club. The pool was cleaned daily and the gentleman was very respectful and friendly. I do not think i would book one again as looking at some others there was trees in front blocking the sun. Room is comfortable and housekeeping was good. Although not mopped everyday which i would have preferred. The room is functional but did feel a little dated and although big not really plush. The select club really for us only gave a different pool. Im not sure the additional cost with jet 2 was worth it. I think there was a 10% off the spa but thats if you want a treatment. The-main restaurant has good choice but some foods not labelled. I could pick up 4/5 glasses before i found one without bits of prior juice on. The tapas is nice. The grill is good food but served in between the bar and outside entertainment so not somewhere you could sit and chat with your wine after your meal as entertainment starts. There isn’t an area to do that at night which is a shame. The bar area mostly functions for the drinks outside and the grill. For us if you didnt want to watch the entertainment theres nowhere quieter to sit and while away the hours chatting. I like the hotel but for me there a few things missing that stop us coming back.
