Hyde Ibiza

I had the worst experience ever in this hotel. A 5 star hotel where even the water in the room was missing from the mini bar. But the main point comes when came back into my room to find out that my laptop was stolen from my bag together with its charger. The thing is they have just ruined my life, but not much to do with that laptop since it is a university owned one with a big engrave on the top. Not sure why they did it. I have a strong suspicion that the responsible could have been someone from the cleaning staff since they were the only people having access to the room a part from us. I went to the guardia civil to report and I hope they could have access to the cameras and find the thief. The service over all is very slow and the cleaning is not even accurate. Also, they not communicate well between each other: we stayed for an additional night and that was not communicated so that the staff came to wake us up entering in the room. Icing on the cake, emptying all the bags now I realised they stole also a pair of headphones, luckily cheap ones but still… I think is unacceptable that something like this could happen in this kind of structure. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel to anyone of course. There are much better places with more helpful staff for cheaper prices for sure.

Emergency stay booked here after early morning flights cancelled last minute. This was ahead of the hotels official opening in 2024, so it was nice and quiet. Staff were super helpful given our situation and were able to get the oldest and youngest family members into rooms as soon as we arrived so they could sleep/rest. Hyde does share facilities with the hotel next door, so I can see this place being very busy. There is also a hotel across the water who’s guest I would assume would also use the beach, which could mean the beach becomes very busy. This hotel is nice if you want to stay away from the party hotels but want somewhere ‘chic luxe’ to stay. The rooms are on the small side – we booked King bed room’s and King bed rooms with see view (VIP) via *******. But the sea view rooms weren’t much bigger than the normal King bed room. Many of the restaurants were not operating fully but room service was good. Only downside was there was little to no vegan options due to the kitchens not fully up and running (we ended up going to the one of the restaurants amongst the supermarkets to get a vegan fix). You’re not allowed to have food or drink that is not from the hotel around the pools – which is understandable but difficult if you do not drink alcohol and want something more than coke. Or if you’re vegan. Unfortunately, there was a storm while we were there which meant the jetty was destroyed so trips for Formentera were out of the question, but the fact that there is a jetty for this is ideal. The beach was also quite affected by the storm, but within a few ours it was cleared of large debris and tidied up well (but flip flops on the sand were needed). The beds on the beach are separate from the hotel and are about 10 euro’s for the day. Super close to Amante Ibiza, a short 10-15 minute walk during the day (perfect if you have booked Yoga there in the morning). Would still recommend getting a taxi there during the evening/night due to the lack of lighting along the road. The local area is very quiet with not a lot to do so you will need to travel out to do stuff.

The staff are super friendly and always ready to talk or help. Really nice deco and very new. Definitely recommendable.

We visited Hyde late Sept 2023 ahead of the official opening in 2024 . I was extremely disappointed from the moment we arrived . It started at check in where they decided to take 800 euros off our card the moment we checked in . We then proceeded with our stay . The hotel is very basic, rooms are small / compact . The hotel is very boring with very little to do by way of any entertainment or facilities. The Resturaunt is ok but extremley over priced with breakfasts very bland and cold with very little choice . There was a pungent smell of raw sewage throughout the hotel from reception to the rooms and even poolside which they tried to disguise with awful airfresheners only making the smell a lot worse . Boat trips were unavailable due to the jetty being constructed . I spent in excess of 400 euros on taxi and bus fares throughout my stay just to get around the island . There were many issues throughout our stay so I've had to point out the main ones in this review . I am unsure what market they are aiming this hotel at as it's a very mixed bag . They also rely heavily on the facilities at the Modrian hotel next door and I wouldn't like to be a guest here at peak season only having the 1 small pool and minimal space to accommodate guests . Cala Llonga is very quiet with very little to do with limited resturaunts and bars . I feel both the resort and hotel were misrepresented by Jet2 and feel somewhat short changed especially with this hotel being part of the Luxe range , it's a 3 star hotel at best . I was also expecting a lot more with the hotel being part of the Hyde brand. Our final days were ruined by film crews and promotional photo shoots which took over the whole hotel , drones flying over the pool area and through the poolside bar area . I have no idea how this was allowed while guests were walking around as it looked quite dangerous at times . The film crew had no respect and just stood in front of your lounges at the poolside discussing pictures etc very loudly which infuriated me so much so I had to ask them to go away from me and made my frustrations known but still they carried on . A very stressful and draining stay and I would recommend you avoid this hotel . Other resorts and hotels are much better equipped and are cheaper in price . I am not a snob by any means but with the money we paid Hyde Ibiza fell extremely short of our expectations and we left very very disappointed and deflated. Be very careful when selecting your accommodation as not is all it seems while viewing them online . I am still awaiting a response from Jet2 regarding my complaint and I hope to seek a resolve .

Amazing stay. The pool at the hotel is literally everything and the beach next to it is as well. We loved it. One con is the walls in the rooms are very thin and you can hear everything your neighbor is doing

Great location to explore the island Nice hotel with great facilities (like pool, gym) and good to be able to use facilities from both hotels (Hyde Mondrian) Great bed and shower Option for valet parking - More space for clothes / closet space - When we asked for a dental kit and towels we had to remind the staff what we requested - Cocktails at the pool can definitely be improved. Not good value for money.

Such a spectacular hotel with a young, fresh and cool vibe. Absolutely loved my stay here and definitely would be coming back! All of the staff were absolutely incredible and warming from the moment I stepped foot into the building till my checkout day. 10000/10!

Fantastic stay at Hyde Ibiza. The hotel has just undergone a significant refurbishment so everything is new, clean and fresh. Lots of nice design touches and thoughtful additions. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Great location for short hops to Ibiza old town and San Antonio. Steps lead straight to the beach and there are plenty of pool options. Rooms are small but well appointed. Beds are super comfortable and the cleaning team are great at keeping towels and water stocked. Food is excellent and the breakfasts have a lot of variety. Poolside food and drink service is excellent and the quality of both is first rate. Poolside music is pitched just right making a great vibe in the day. Cabanas, Day Beds and Loungers are plentiful giving lots of options. Negatives are few. Some parts of the hotel haven’t been included and these do let some spaces down (lifts and the entrance out to the pool space) Parking is valet service only so you have to try and get a space on the crowded road outside, park at the bottom of the hill or pay 20 Euros per day? Overall these are minor issues and this place rocks and we will definitely look to return to Hyde.

Firstly, all the staff are amazing – from the reception team, to the team who served at breakfast, to the pool/bar staff; everyone was extremely welcoming, helpful, attentive, friendly, energetic & very well presented in fashionable ‘uniform’. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels & I have to say this is one of the best experiences I have ever had in relation to the staff! Breakfast was delicious, I looked forward to it every morning; huge variety to choose from - everything so fresh & well presented. Eating on the terrace overlooking the beautiful sea every morning made it even better & the service was amazing, with consistent coffee refills. The hotel is beautifully trendy inside & has been renovated to a really high standard. Again, furniture in the room’s really good quality & it was a great touch to have an iron & ironing board in the room (this is rare in hotels but needed). I would say the only negative is the size of the standard rooms, while we hardly spent any time in there – it was really quite tight trying to get ready on the evenings with limited space. There are three pools to spend your time around with different styles of sunbeds; this was great as you never got bored of the scenery – you could move around each day or go to the beach which is of course on the doorstep! Food served at the pool bar / bungalow was great – enjoyed everything we ate & again just super service! You are welcome to use the sister hotel Mondrian opposite, which is stunning inside. It has a beautiful little café & bar overlooking the sea (best wine & mojito we had during our stay). Really impressed that reception provided us with a key to a spare room to shower/get ready after checking out & before our late flight. There is also a really secure & well organised luggage storage system. Shame the city boat was cancelled due to the damage to the pier outside the hotel from the recent storm - this would have been great to use to get around (rather than taxis) & would of made our time in Ibiza better. It looked like they were working on fixing it during our stay, so I’d imagine it will be back in action soon. Thanks to the Hyde Ibiza Team for being great!
