Gavimar Ariel Chico Hotel and Apartments

Myself and my fiance have just returned after a 10 night Stay all inclusive, we enjoyed our time staying in the local area with plenty of shops, bars, beach and restaurants. Hotel buffet was only average and our studio beds were uncomfortable. Could feel the springs and the pillows weren't puffy enough. However, staff were great; Cris on reception was very helpful with our queries and great customer service and the bar staff Erik and Luis by the pool bar are very friendly and efficient service. The Animation entertainment team are superb, we looked forward to join them every evening. I would like to make a special mention to Suntai, Justin, Margot and Sabrina who are extremely friendly, knew how to give us all a great time and filled with lots of fun games/entertainment suitable for children and adults. I could not fault them and they never failed to make us laugh so much. They were the biggest reason that we enjoyed our holiday so much, so a very special thank you to you guys.

Went here for my first holiday really friendly approachable staff very helpful, food was nice and the entertainment was fantastic great activities to join in with the entertainment staff were excellent and overall had a good time. Was abit disappointed we had no rep at the resort however we spoke to the Jet 2 Holidays rep who was very helpful and advised us on some excursions we could do.

Me and my family had an amazing time, the staff were incredible and the entertainment was very enjoyable. The animation team were the best, especially Suntai, Margot and Justin. The drinks were great and the room was satisfactory. I would definitely return again. I would recommend to anyone. Cala d’or is a lovely place and I hope to visit again one day.

We stayed here for a four night break from 7/5/2024- 11/5/2024 after an early flight and a long journey from the airport we arrived at the hotel just after midday. Though check in isn't until 2.p.m. our room was ready, unfortunately the room that we were allocated though spacious was very dated and dark, my wife said that it felt like a cave house. The door and windows didn't appear to be very secure so we returned to reception and the lady was very helpful and allocated us another room in the main block. It had a seaview very comfortable beds and was spotlessly clean. The food was excellent with self service drinks as part of the all inclusive package, the wine was ok and Cruz Campo beer very much to my taste. ( I had to keep sampling it to make sure lol.) The Hotel is made up of a mish mash of different buildings either side of the road, with the largest swimming pool and an outdoor evening entertainment area across the road from the main hotel building. The pool is only open from 10.00a.m. till 6p.m. each day with a life guard in attendance. There are plenty of sunbeds available but part of the pool area in front of the building is in the shade mid afternoon onwards. The evening entertainment was fairly poor with the main show only running from 9.45 untill 11 with the all inclusive finishing at the same time. It can get quite chilly in the evenings early in the season so I would recommend taking a fleece/ jacket to keep warm. From the hotel it is a short downhill walk to a beautiful beach. It is a very hilly area around the hotel so may cause problems for the less mobile. There are lots of shops and restaurants close by but many with quite expensive prices. All in all we had a nice relaxing break in a lovely picturesque area.

Our studio apar**ent looked nothing like any of the photos shown so i was a little disappointed, the apar**ent we were was in was very dated. There is no kettle in the kitchen for cup of tea in the morning before going down for breakfast. We were on the front with the bar and entertainment opposite which is very loud till 11pm. The food was good, wide variety for breakfast lunch and tea. There is lovely beach 4 mins walk away but you need to pay 15 euros each day for 2 sunbeds to sit on. There's not much to do outside the hotel but we were ok with that.There are 3 pools but the main one is always busy and the smallest one has only 6 sunbeds, the middle size one is never open. There's a little train that goes round, you can visit the marina which has nice restaurants. This is 5 euros each way.

The animation was really great in particuler Justin. They had really funny activeties especialy the karaoke. It was a beautiful acomodation with many things to do. And it was a pretty clean hotel. The food was really nice with every day somthing else.

The room was in the main hotel decent size the bathroom was dated the shower was very poor food was average night entertainment very poor location was very good but every thing you had to pay a deposit for your tumbler for your drinks your plates for the snack bar you had to pay 17 euros for a towel and only got 10 back also the safe you had to pay for the staff at reception were helpful and friendly unlike the restaurant staff would I stay here again no

The hotel is lovely, the weather was beautiful. We had a room that over looked the main pool area. The food was nice but repetitive. Cris on reception was very welcoming and helpful. The entertainment team were good (Margret, Justin, Sabrina and Suntai). Every night they would announce in spanish, French and English. The area where the hotel is situated is a lovely small town feel. A literal 5 min walk to the beach or the main restaurant district. Some lovely cocktail bars aswell.

The animation staff was so nice. Big up to Suntai, Margot, Sabrina and Justin ! We enjoyed the activities, thank you ! The bar staff was also really nice. We would have like to have some sweet for the snack and not only salty food... Would recommend !
