Struttura nuova nulla da ridire in merito. Servizio : frigo bar VUOTOOO nemmeno una bottiglia d’acqua, kit cortesia bagno inesistente ☹️ciabattine neanche a parlarne. Se rimangono con questa politica misero, dopo aver preso una Camera Superior vista mare e pagato un botto, mi aspettavo qualche servizio in più. Colazione ottima.

We were visiting family in the area and had heard great things about this hotel in its previous incarnation as The Dolmen. We were looking forward to staying, but despite a promising start (smooth check in and delicious cookies on arrival), a few things did disappoint. We had paid for a standard room, which was on the second floor. While the room itself was nice enough, the view from the balcony was of a service area, brick wall fire assembly point and maintenance hub, where workmen were milling about constantly in front of our terrace. We asked straight away if we could pay to upgrade to a higher floor or even a sea view, but were told the hotel was completely full. We found this hard to believe in May and outside of the school holidays. The room was as described - standard - but we felt a few small tweaks could have made all the difference. There were 8 hangers in the wardrobe, which is nowhere near enough for a couple. There was also a separate hanging rail in the room, but no extra hangers, so the rail was basically useless. The space would have been better used for a chest of drawers, especially as the bedside cabinets were just tables and had no storage whatsoever. There was also no mirror above the dressing table in the living area, and no hooks either on the back of the door or on any of the wall space for a jacket/robe etc. We had to request extra pillows as only two were provided with no spares in the wardrobe as you’d expect. The bathroom was nice, and the shower was lovely, but there was only a tiny amount of space around the sink for toiletries, despite there being loads of empty space underneath. An additional shelf or unit would have been really useful and would have meant we didn’t have to leave our full toilet bags on the floor. We tried to book a late check out as our flight home wasn’t until the evening, but were told it couldn’t be confirmed either way until after 8am on the day of departure, so we basically had to be up and ready for an 11am check out anyway just in case. We’ve never experienced this before as usually you can pay to book this in advance. Again, in May and outside of the school holidays we weren’t sure why this was a problem. Overall, the hotel has promise, and we could see that when finished the beach and spa areas will be lovely. The pools were great, as were the Azure (buffet) and Ombré (bistro) restaurants. The best breakfast selection we’ve seen in a long while! It would be good to see these small issues addressed before the hotel is fully open later in the summer as its location is great and we would like to come back.

Stayed here in April.The hotel was undergoing some improvements to the outside area at the front of the hotel but did not cause us any problem.The hotel itself had just reopened in March after a major refurb and it is absolutely immaculate. The standard of cleanliness is exemplary and the facilities first class. Our towels were changed every day and the room cleaned to a high standard every day.The bistro restaurant is great for a lunchtime snack with lovely sea views. Food in the main restaurant was very good but what was exceptional was the restaurant staff.Special mention to Marina who was so lovely helping my wife who is fussy eater and to Micheal,one of the chefs wh o was really kind snd helpful.I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in Malta.Well done to all the friendly staff. We stayed at the Double tree Hilton as our annual girls getaway and we had a fabulous time. We booked for bed and breakfast and the choice of food was very good, ranging from salads, cooked breakfast, waffles, continental breakfast and much much more. The swimming pools are lovely, with one with a swim up bar. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. St Paul's Bay is a busy little town with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. There wasn't really a beach there, just rocks ascending into the sea. We loved Malta, there is so much to see around the island, especially using the hop on hop off buses. Plus everything was so reasonable. Food and drink was much cheaper than we expected, cocktails were around 6 euros, coffee around 2 euros, a Chinese meal for 4 including 2 bottles of wine for 73 euros . The ferry across to Gozo was 4 Euros return. Beautiful hotel, beautiful country 💗

Highly recommend Today we went to double tree for mother's day lunch and I must say it was amazing .from the moment you arrive you are warmly welcomed by the staff especially Biljana who was just wonderful. Great food selection that not only look good but taste good to ,there's something for everyone. Restaurant is also happy to prepare food for people with allergies, intolerance or diabetes etc . Restaurant and hotel lobby and bathroom are spotless and a great factor is that although all tables were full it wasn't over crowded at all . They also gave all the mothers a lovely little gift which was unexpected and a lovely gesture. Great location has parking . It was an overall wonderfully experience we couldn't have asked for more. The only small thing that was a bother to us and others was that we couldn't pay cash and wasn't informed before but other than that it was great .

This hotel should not have opened yet. Major works have been going on the “beach”, which is in fact a large rock, right in front of the hotel, with a sledge hammer drilling into the rock constantly from 9 to late afternoon and works going on incessantly from 7:30 to about 20:00. Two large cranes have not only been spoiling the sea view (for which one pays) but also emitting lots of noise. Moreover, works were also done inside the hotel, so no place to hide from head-splitting noise. I understand the works are to go until July, so think twice about booking this place. The hotel opened in early April and the lobby is nice but rooms are average, pretty plain and most of the good ones (on the upper floors) have been closed (at least this is what I was told when asking for a room on the upper floor). As often is the case after a major renovation, many services have not been working properly, most importantly the air condition. We were lucky coming before the summer start but still, it wasn’t possible to sleep without the AC and with the balcony door closed (we kept it opened but an early start of works on the beach woke us up every day). Also, TV didn’t work for most of our stay (but they connected the antenna on the last day). Even when they finish the works, I wouldn’t come back to this hotel – it is location in a concrete jungle, far from any interesting places. The only good thing was that a large bus terminal was just behind the hotel and it was fairly easy to visit different places on this interesting island (although travelling by bus takes lots of time…).
