It was a beautiful area. The staff was great. I didn't like the fact that we had to provide our own transportation for our excursions. Taxi's got to be expensive. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the room wasn't sound proof at all. I got woke up every single night by loud people outside and in the next room. We didn't go to any of the restaurants other than the buffets because they filled up too fast. The 8:00 a.m. time to make a reservation wasn't convenient at all. Especially since you could only book for the current night.

Other than being close to the sea, this hotel wasn't very attractive. The room facilities were outdated from the 70's, the lighting wasn't working properly, the bedding linens weren't washed and looked like they had been thrown away. The food selection was poor and tasteless. This was below expectations, but the staff were quite friendly. My wife and I traveled all over Mexico every year around this time, and this hotel seems to be visited by many retirees who like value for money. I had good memories of previous visits, so I came back to Puerto Vallarta. I think hotel selection is important.

This resort is out dated, rooms are in poor condition, the light in bathroom above sink was not even attached to the ceiling, its a joke trying to get a ala carte resturant, i would like to say the staff is what makes the difference in this resort i will not be back recommend this place, i'm sure theres much better for the same price.

We stayed in the hotel for 10 days and we enjoyed it.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Food was very delicious and varied.
The beach was nice and clean.
The only advice I would like to offer is to reconsider restaurant booking .
If you like to sleep until 8:00 am or longer, it's not going to work out for you.

Halfway through our week the resort filled up. This resulted in long lines, and food trays empty at the buffet. We didn’t have a chance to try any a La carte restaurants because the app is cumbersome to use and could never get through to book any reservations. The wifi is poor, even in building 4. The best thing about the resort is the location to walk to downtown Bucerias.

Staff wete nice Languedoc were issues. Prperty was not uptodate electricity power outlet not worki g after moving from.one to another room after 2 days. Food was ok..wish ******* was more cooperstive before we booked the trip..******* staff didnot helpedBEFIRE BOOKING..UNFORTUNATELY ******* HAS NO LIVE PHONE SERVICE BEFORE BOOKING?

The property itself is huge with 6 blocks of accommodation. Although an older resort it is spotlessly clean. The beach is lovely and there are many pools to use including one quiet adult pool. The food is plentiful and very tasty. Staff are always smiling, friendly and helpful. The entertainment is absolutely outstanding. A different show every night with amazing costumes and fabulous dancing. There are no elevators in any building except one. For the mobility challenged this should be taken into consideration when booking. The ocean view rooms on block 2 have such small balconies they are not comfortable for sitting out on.
I would definitely return to the Royal Decameron. It is wonderful value for money and has something for everyone.

Great value for money. We knew it wasn’t a 5* so didn’t expect it. I would rate the staff service and beach a 5* though! Rooms are dated and shower pressure was poor but rooms very clean. Staff were super friendly and never had to wait long to get served. Lots of bars around the resort. Average age is quite old but it was still a lot of fun. Evening entertainment was fabulous (except the audience participation nights were painful). Short 15 minute walk into the markets of Bucerias. Cute sports bar right outside the resort to catch all the games. Food was good. Again not 5 star but always good choices including lots of fruit and veggies. We got into the al la cartes every night (two were at 9:00) but still was easy to make the reservation. Overall a great place and we had an amazing time as it is what you make of it!
