When we arrived we were put into the wrong room. We reserved a room with 2 beds but got a room with 1. Although the room was bigger, the ac did not reach the living room, where I slept, so it was about 85 degrees in there with 80% humidity. Needless to say I didn’t sleep at all. Add on the fact that there was extremely loud noise on both the shared patio as well as the hallway until 3:30 am. We got a knock on the door at 9 am telling us we had to switch rooms at 11 am so we start packing up our things. There’s a knock at 10 saying we had to move then, so we do. Much to our surprise, THIS room still only has one bed. We tell the manager that we will be switching hotels that afternoon and will be back at about 3 pm to retrieve our things because we already had plans for the day. We get back at 3:30 to our door being open and housekeeping standing outside. We ask why the door is open and she says because she needs to clean the room and we said we’d be back at 3 pm. Mind you, we were paid up for 3 more days. We gather our things and exit the room. She is still waiting outside the room for us. I sent an email to the manager requesting a partial refund, explaining the entire experience to him. Not only did I not receive a partial refund but he never even responded. This is horrible customer service and not a good way to represent the island.
