Travelodge London Bromley

This is our first time here in UK and we have checked in directly into Travelodge. Jarma at the reception made our lives easier and helped us alot. She has been so kind and helpful, Each time we needed something she was always there to help us and navigate us. Our first few days have been so memorable because of Travelodge and especially because of Jarma. She is basically the best at what she does. Thanks for helping us out Jarma. Coming to the food they served, it's been a wonderful experience tasting different delicacies, all the dishes we have tried are delicious. The keralan Cauliflower curry is awesome. All the staff are so welcoming and helpful. If I have to give a suggestion where Travelodge can still improve, you can increase the frequency of cleaning the rooms. It's just once in a week now that can be improved. Rest is fine. Thanks for making the first few days of our stay comfortable.

Easily found on london road. Roughly 15 mins away by foot from Bromley south train station. Clean room with tea and coffee facilities in the room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of sockets and USB ports for electrical devices. Good menu. Warm and friendly staff. Elda was professional and ready to make my stay a great experience. I'd recommend this Travel Lodge for a more reasonable priced stay when visiting London.

I didn't actually stay here, but live opposite. I contacted Travel Lodge but the staff really do not care if guests make noise outside of the hotel. One man, on mobility scooter, obviously living there at least the past month, comes out few times daily & sings at the top of his lungs. It's the same song everytime, Phil Collins Another Day in Paradise. It wakes me up early morning & also stops me getting to sleep at night. I am currently logging times & videoing to send to Bromley Council!!

This is my 2nd visit in this hotel, the last time l visited family in London was 1 year ago. I decided to stay here again because it's very convenient and easy for me to walk to the shopping centre, family home. This time around l did enjoy my stay more due to the customer service, they are all very good and seems ready to help me with anything l needed. Overall great experience this time round. I will recommend and l will visit again. I just wanted to mention this everyone experience is not duplicated.

There were a number of issues. These ranged from noise, incompetent staff and a random member of the public being given my room key, whereby they were able to let themselves in one evening (around 7.30pm) unannounced. This was apparently due to an error by a staff member who erroneously gave them a key to the room I was staying in (but I am still unsure how this was). This same guest then contended it was her room and she was staying here (despite me having booked it for the whole week) and she seemed somewhat unimpressed that I was there (I actually cannot believe this even happened, even now). My towels, tea/coffee and bin were only changed once. Even then, this was only after I made a specific request made at reception. This only happened because when I raised this issue, I was told that staff could not speak English very well and so could not understand the signage placed on the door handle that stated such renewals were requested. When attempting to log any issues with the staff, it proved difficult to get the complaints to stick. This was because on two occasions, when I checked the next day, each staff member said that no notes had been made on the system about this and that they would be made. In the end, I realised I had to just log the matters which I had attempted to report and raise them at a later point. Further, when attempting to obtain service from staff at the front desk, the wait was often long. When I queried why it seemed there was so little staff, I was told that apparently they only hire two members of staff at most to operate the front desk and bar area (excluding the kitchen), and often this was operated by one staff member. The unsurprising result was that waiting times were often a minimum of 10 minutes. Of course, this would be reasonable in a busy hotel, but this appeared to be an under-staffing issue and a lack of basic diligence (and not a busy hotel). Overall, an utterly shambolic experience and although it is not expected to be of the highest standards, basic room attendance, security, and staff professionalism should be minimum expectations. I spent the whole week carrying my car keys and money for wonder of whether someone else would otherwise be entering the room after that. This then continued for the next 4/5 days. I am glad to be out of there.

Rosa who works on reception is so kind. She was wonderful with my 5 year old daughter and really welcomed us. Thank you so much Rosa! In basic hotels, they really need service to make up for the basics. This wonderful lady provided wonderful service xx
