Savannah Beach Club Hotel & Spa

Before booking we did read a few of the negative comments. We are so glad that we ignored them as most are simply unjustified. We arrived at this lovely, medium sized hotel. It is stunning at night and there is a chilled vibe during the day. The swimming pools are shallow (3'6") enough for young kids, but deep enough for a needed cool off. It was fairly quiet while we were there, for a 2 week break to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. 12min walk to the best beach on island. Great position for exploring. The staff are great, food was amazing and they will accomodate anyone. Plenty of drinks, cocktails, beer, wine etc. Bed was a large 4 poster and shower etc was fab. Shout out to some of the guy & gals to look out for. Ronald & his Team of chefs (Try his Brisket...OMG). 10/10 For food. Analis (The gent) great guy, mean cocktails ! Roger ( His sense of humour is amazing, dry as a dap) Tells a good story too ! .oh and a Jungle Jam ( not on menu) cocktail. Torrence another gent, also makes a wicked cocktail. Miguel always there to help. Sanako. Ask him for a Coco loco ! Sheena Lovely lady, but, misbehave....( and she'll beat you up) lol Samantha You will SMILE everytime you see Samantha.. Made our holiday. Akeila Another great team member, always going that extra mile. Tiffany x 2 Both Tiffany's are fab. Alicia: Have to mention this lady....What a singing voice. Get her on the mic or get her a slot of her own ;) Sorry if we've missed anyone....but, seriously, we would return here, no questions. 10/10. Amazing.

I desperately wanted to award a 5* review as the staff are so wonderful - warm, welcoming and just lovely people. The hotel itself is attractive, comfortable and well-run and overall we had an excellent holiday. I've sadly deducted a star for the following reasons. Firstly, the beach area is more suited to surfing and the sea is usually too rough for swimming. Of course, the hotel has no control over this but one of the 2 swimming pools is more ornamental than ideal for swimming and both pools are only 3ft 6ins deep and so are again not ideal for adult swimming. The hotel does have an agreement with a beach club just a mile up the coast where guests can spend 5 hours on a truly calm and beautiful Caribbean Sea beach. We wish we'd made more of this facility. Secondly, we found the food options were disappointingly unimaginative. The hotel has 3 restaurants, one of which opens only 3 evenings a week. Most meals are shared between the other 2 restaurants but for most meals the options were chicken or grilled fish plus either a lamb or pork dish accompanied by rice, mac & cheese and steamed mixed veg. Everything was perfectly edible but just a bit samey and sometimes I found myself eating the same for lunch and dinner. Chris' excellent huge homemade burgers at lunchtime were a welcome alternative and normally we never eat burgers!! Finally I would warn that there are lots of stairs from ground floor to Reception and the main restaurant and quite a few trips hazards around the grounds. These could be an issue for those less fit. Back to the staff though. The service levels and friendliness here are the best we've experienced anywhere and they more than make up for any negatives. A huge thank you to them all.

We revisited the what we thought was paradise, we just concluded a very unwelcoming stay for what is said previously was to be the best hotel on island we cannot comprehend how this hotel has deteriorated to this poor state. From an unwelcoming arrival at the reception to being ignored at breakfast. We have concluded that we will not be back to this hotel. The staff are all looks weary and disgruntle. From the exit of the taxi no bell hop to greet us at the entrance we checked in with Jalisa who we feel should retire from the reception no good welcome and lots of misinformation leaving us very turned around. Her body language was as as we were intruding on her time and space then later ignored and talking but not with us the guest in front her. Marsha tried to help however she is no better. We concluded both need back of house roles as they are not suited to deal with guest. The information they told us was not accurate, which left us turned around and confused. We arranged taxi trips when we came to reception they were not book and had to be booked leaving us late for our activities. The restaurant is very poorly managed and service is the worst we have never experienced. The Management of this hotel needs to go back to training school as it is quite unbelievable it deteriorated to this stage of being so mismanaged. We were always told the General Manager was in a meeting the length on time he takes to deal with guest issues is appalling. None of the issues we reported were ever resolved, we think they need the boot hotel manager. The all inclusive is not all inclusive it is very limited. The rooms are kept clean even though the are in dyer need of modernizing. We will not be back. This hotel is extremely under managed and has the poorest quality of food and beverages We heard many good reviews and we had many good reviews previously however we did not experienced anything close, what a shame.

Stayed at this hotel 8 years ago and so pleased to come back. Young hotel staff, but so friendly and helpful. Very good food and plenty of it. Had a deluxe room and couldnt fault it. Perfect location on the seafront. Check out the quiet pool in the hotel annexe, so peaceful

Just spent our honeymoon here and my husband and I are really sad to be going home. From the minute we arrived the staff here have been amazing making us feel at home and very much part of the family. Analis , Richard, Samantha , Miguel, Antonio, Jamar , Ron. Chris Berverley are just some of the guys who made our trip amazing there are so many more i havent mentioned ! We went all inclusive beach front room and found it excellent value for money. Our room was beautiful, waking up to the sound of the sea every day and going to sleep with the waves crashing was really special. The beach is wild as someone posted but i kinda think well its a natural beach so its gonna be wild! Food was aplenty delicious and a good choice some of the salads were amazing . We were we looked after by everyone and cannot wait to book again for next year to come back and see our new friends! God bless Barbados its a beautiful island with an amazing bunch of people ✌️

I believe this review may be useful to future travelers. First things first, the hotel is in an excellent location, the staff is wonderful and the rooms are well kept. Let me get into the pros and cons. Pros: -Location - Excellent -Staff - Kind, Accommodating. - Marsha is the best. Give her a raise, immediately. -Visually appealing structure - Beautiful lighting and night. -Safe - Any vehicle that comes in, security yells at them. -Spacious rooms with housekeeping every day. -Refrigerator in room, WORKS. Better than those at top hotels. Cons: -All Inclusive - Not all inclusive, you have to pay for premium liquor. -Food - Breakfast is the same every day, and only at one of the three restaurants. also, it closes off at 10am. Lunch is only available at the second restaurant at the beach (Drifters) and that's from 1230-3pm. More burgers, hot dogs, fries etc. But it was not very good. Dinner- I saw Chopstix restaurant open ONE night of the 4 I spent there. Generally, unless you are programmed to be hungry during their specific food times, don't count on getting anything to eat. Bar selections are also very very limited. Room- Spacious, but my room had an ac condenser or something above the toilet paper rack which resulted in soaked toilet paper throughout my stay. -Stairs - LOTS OF STAIRS, and the sun is HOT. Only ONE elevator to the front of the compound. -Pools - More for aesthetics not really swimming. Does not exceed 4ft. -Beachfront - Can't bathe, its too rough. Generally, the information I received on the paper at check in, did not align with what I experienced at the hotel. This hotel is decent nonetheless. However, if you are used to real "all inclusive' experiences, this is not one. This gives you the bare minimum. It is a nice little spot, with proper maintenance. The biggest plus, is that after you check out, they have courtesy rooms where you can take a half hour to shower and what not before your flight if you have a late travel schedule. Personally, I probably would not stay here again, but I will definitely recommend the hotel to other travelers that have simple needs when travelling. It may be perfect for you.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at Savannah. The staff certainly makes this hotel what it is. They work incredibly hard! Analis, Roger, Richard, torrence, Sheena, Beverley, Samantha, Chris, The list goes on and on and I'm so sorry I can't remember everyone's names but you are all a credit to this hotel. Thank you for making are holiday amazing.

We've just returned today from this small, friendly and lovely hotel. Location is great, an easy walk to see the horses swim in the morning which was a real highlight for us. The beach at Savannah is small and a bit more wild but there are calmer stretches a couple of minutes walk in every direction. Staff were unfailingly wonderful, going out of their way to look after us and make a fuss of the kids. Food again, excellent. The food & beverage manager is always visible, always checking that everything is up to scratch. Kids club really handy, pool tables, air hockey, basketball, crafts. An ideal place for some respite from the sun! Pool areas are pretty. The entire pool is the same depth, about 3.5ft. It's not a huge sunbathing area but we had no issues with getting a sunlounger at any point during the week - much less of an issue than at big resorts we've stayed at. We had no expectations about this resort and were quite honestly bowled over. Maybe helped by the other guests too but we've truly had a magical week here! Would recommend asking reception about the free transfers and entry to Copacabana Beach Club - a great perk!

We have just spent 10 nights here and it far exceeded my expectations after reading some of the negative reviews. Rooms were very spacious with a nice walk in shower and large balcony. The food was delicious and couldn't fault any of the meals we had which were a mix of buffet, burger bar and A la carte, all were amazing. All of the staff ww met are so friendly and helpful and a credit to the hotel. I will definitely return to this hotel in the future
